628,225. This one is ok...I feel some of the time its hard to avoid being hit by bullets but I love the Punisher. I took 2 pics since it was hard to see and I forgot to put the flash back on my camera.

Yeah, dodging shouldn't be a priority, just kill things before they shoot. Also, if you see a power up shaped like a torso, that's body armor, which extends your life bar a bit. Pick those up every chance you get, as well as the medical bags (health, obviously). Another thing is not to go apeshit shooting things. After a while you'll learn which things will drop powerups or give points. At that point, burst fire is your friend! You never truly run out of ammo, but you definitely don't want to run out...the Supergun can go through full ammo in seconds, and while it takes longer for the machine gun to run out, you don't want to lose it when you get it.

I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Hey has anyone gotten a 100% kill total on any round? If so do you get a bonus? Didn't have time to play today and find out...

Yeah, I got it on most rounds, only missed like 3 or 4 on that run.  It was a good run.

Anyway, the bonus screen givess different bonuses after finishing a screen: Health, Ammo, Grenades, Life, and then Supergun at 100%.  All of these are cumulative, so at 100% you get everything.  The Supergun is CRAZY, as you can dump 600 rounds in a couple seconds if you have a lead thumb.  Jigsaw and Sijo go down before they ever get close enough for melee fighting, and Assassin dies without firing a shot because his animations take more time to complete than his health lasts!  Kingpin kills you fast though, so it's only good to take around a third of his health bar, but that's pretty significant considering how hard he actually is!

Oh, and the point bonus for 100% is a cool 20K, the same score that killing the Kingpin will net you

Cool, thanks for the info I appreciate it.... I'm gonna try and put some more time in on Sunday night to do a little better and beat the Kingpin hopefully. I can't believe I over looked this game before this week considering I was such a big Punisher fan growing up... I was talking to one of my buddies tonight who isn't even into NES games and he made fun of me for never having played this or Operation Wolf before...

Yes it is.  KHAN was nice enough to let me on the beta test team.  (So I have played it many many times.) It is pretty fantastic if you are a Larry fan.  I actually think it plays better than the updated point and click versions.

321280 points. Crappy LCD to the rescue! I honestly can't wait until I get my hands on a beautiful 27'' (69cm for people from 99% of the world's countries) Sony Trinitron CRT because I heard those were fantastic. And I'll get it for free! Yay!

Managed to beat it.

The supergun is AWESOME, but I was extremely disappointed to find that you can accidentally downgrade it to the assault rifle...

Made it to Kingpin with 8 lives in reserve, missed ONE bad guy so I didn't have my supergun (died mid-level from one of the cyborg rocket launcher guys).
Just threw grenades until I died... over and over. Barely eeked out a win.

Good to know.  I had assumed I had lost it since I didn't run out of ammo until I re acquired the super gun.

Score updated, beat the game. Giants/Eagles game is on tonight so this score might have to do, unlesssss there ends up being a blowout and I get the urge to play again. Just like Balloon Kid I only managed a 100% round once to get the supergun.

The bonus scales based on clear percentage, so you get 19k if you are in the 90% range.

it is definitely not all or nothing.

Guess I shouldn't have skipped the first couple of bonus worlds to get the super gun

For some reason I always came up 3 to 5 kills shy of perfect if I took a bonus level route, so I used them sparingly.

Just 75 points separated 2nd and 3rd place. Kinda crazy!

Also, it figures I have the worst score of all the people that got to the end of the game, haha. If I had beat Kingpin I would still be in 6th place. Still, I'm happy.
