Hey Everybody! I am very happy to say i finally got to have my own collection Room! I just turned 21, and moved out of my parents place. Me and my girlfriend got our own place and now i finally have a room that i got to make into my Game Collection Room! After about 6 months of building shelves, buying more stuff, and decorating its finally finished! I also compiled a list of my Entire Collection as well, and just finished my website showcasing all of it! I have tons of pictures of All kinds of video game stuff i have from Atari - the Xbox 360. And lots of NES STUFF! Just click on pictures. Oh and i also made a page where i typed out some of my cool finds, that i have had over the past couple years, if anyone is interested in those. :-)

Please take a look at my website and post on here what ya think!

Heres the link for my website>

And Heres a few Pictures of my finished collection room. Theres a lot more pictures on my website. Thanks for looking in! :-)

Thanks Everybody for all the trades!

Game on!

I hope to one day have my own room. I have a feeling that my girlfriend will never allow it though.

We have a saying here (well, not really, but it's been said here a few times)...

If the GF doesn't support the madness, just find another one!

hey thats right man, my girlfriend loves it actually. she plays dr. mario all the time as well as many other classics back in the game room. We were just playing t and c surf designs the other day lol. Shes cool with the room, as long as i try to keep most of everything in the room. Im not like putting pictures of mario and megaman in my kitchen or anything lol. I dont know if she would be cool with that hehe. :-) lol

I just had my GF look on eBay when that one auction was up at like $300,000 or whatever it was for the 660 naked carts. She knows I have over 1200 CIB games so she goes around telling everyone she wants to buy a gun and a security system in case someone breaks in... LOL! That auction really helped me out in terms of her being ok with what I do! Of course it's my money so DAIN's logic may hold if she ever goes the other way! :-)~

I really like how it's displayed, man. So many of the collection pics I see have stuff just randomly piled on shelfs as if it's just the back room of a game store or something, so it's nice to see pics from someone who's actually put some thought in how they want their stuff displayed. It's also cool how most of your CIB rares are in box protectors. It adds so much class to the setup (not to mention the protection your CIB games get) I don't know why so few people are "boxing their boxes" so to speak.

Anyway, A+ all round.

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Definitely a VERY nice collection room!

Similar to what Braveheart said, it only took one time of buying something for cheap and selling it for serious money that she understood completely. Case in point: I purchased a Rodland cart from a Spanish seller for 10 Euro and flipped it for $400. She saw the whole process start to finish and was in complete shock. She still tells people about that That, and she's absolutely addicted to Arkanoid -- I'll sometimes come in the family room and she's sitting there glued to the screen, swearing at the TV. She loves that game, and I love that she loves it

Yeah, once I finally decide to get my ass in gear and start selling some of this stuff she may feel different, but she really hates video games and thinks I'm just wasting my time. Oh well, I'll waste my time then.

That's too funny Dain... must be something with that game. My DAD LOVES Arkanoid. I got him a nes and hookups and that cart with the Vaus Controller to play it and that's all he has. He doesn't know how to even turn on a computer or use a digital camers, much less have a cell phone but he LOVES Arkanoid with a passion!!

hey everybody thanks a lot for all the great comments!!! It really means a lot to me! I put a lot of time and effort into everything and its really cool to see all the positive responses. thanks again everyone!! :-)

dr.morbis - yea thanks man, i know it has always bugged me too when i see others display of games, just stacked up on top of each other collecting dust. so i had to buy some protectors from bronty and now they are all safe and displayed very nicely. I Custom built those shelves they are all on too, and then the real rare nes games go in my glass display case. :-)
