I don't have any plans on it, no. There was only 24 games ever made that require that mapper, with only 1 specific game worth making a repro of (Mr Gimmick).

Edited to add a link to the FamiROM splitter, created by Lincoln, for helping people prep their NES rom files.

Well, I don't really know...but will you release any docs of how the chip works so people who have the capabilities will port the mapper over in their spare time? I think that mapper is worth porting over, because if it's the same price as an MMC3 board, homebrewers would use it over MMC3 all day.

TSOP chips are much more difficult to solder, especially for beginners. The other thing is that those TSOP chips have been so over-purchased that a demand for them has gone up a lot, driving the price to between $7-$10 per chip! Compare that to the $2-$3 it costs for the EPROM chips, and it's a pretty clear winner

Gotta agree with Retro about the TSOP chips, n00bs would mess up soldering then when it does not load assume the boards were to blame. Too much headache.

SOP chips might be good but I think most of them are 3.3v and if the customer uses a standard vreg rather than a LDO they will have issues also.

Why would anyone prefer TSOP flash over UV EPROMs? Flash is significantly less durable than EPROM chips. Consider that EPROMs can last 40+ years easily before starting to lose bits. Even then, just burn the EPROM again or replace it when that time comes. Flash chips will wear out and die with usage. The more you use a flash chip, the sooner it will die.

Aren't I a great salesman? Haha.

Flash and eproms are the same base storage tech, only the erase/program is different. They both have the same data retention, and that is not affected (significantly) by usage.

It took me 2 tries to learn drag soldering, I ordered 32MB tsop chips at aliexpress for $2.50 each or less, UV eproms are getting scarce. if you think about it you can just make new boards for tsops you will sell a lot more, or expand your costumer base, I for one would order your boards instead of the adapters and donor carts. oh well Ill continue to do just that im not investing in another burner. peace

Yeah sorry! The profit margine on the adapters is so small with the bulk pricing on them already that I didn't have any wiggle room there.

I have a few left, but not enough to stock my website.

I actually have 17 shells left here total, if you're interested in some. Shoot me a PM.
