I was going to play this one but it just frustrates me too much. Especially look at the top scores. Congrats to all that participated. Lets hope next weeks game doesn't get under my skin like this one does.

I know I've missed the last 2 weeks but hopefully I have time for it this week. I've been helping my father in law with a little business venture of his and it's been taking a lot of my time. I'm taking a vacation from everything in a week so I'll have a lot of time this coming weekend. 

Ok, as I mentioned above, I was on a really good run near the end of the contest, but ran out of time to submit a new picture.  Well, I beat my old score and thought I would share it with you guys just for fun.  This was my best run ever on this game.  Here it is:

I collected 8 extra balls on this run, 5 of which were on my first ball.  By the time I lost all of those balls and actually moved on to ball 2, I had over 25 million points.  I collected the jackpot a bunch of times, at least 3 times it was well over 1 million.  I even collected the 1 million point UFO bonus from playing the mini games (racing and cannon shooting).  That's the only time I've ever collected the UFO bonus.  Last couple of balls went a little quicker than I hoped, but I was still able to collect a few points with them.  I would have to say, this is my favorite pinball game on the NES and I had a lot of fun with this contest.  It is a difficult game the first time you play it, but the more you get used to it, the easier it gets.  For those who had trouble with the tumbleweeds, the way to escape them is to repeatedly hit B and Select at the same time.  You will escape them every time (you want to be careful you don't tilt the table, although I've never done this while trying to escape a tumbleweed).  And just for fun, here's the high score table from the game with my score.

And I agree with you, once you figure out how the table works, it is clearly an excellent pinball for the NES.

Note, there's  also a Rocket bonus, similar to the UFO, but it gets you 2,000,000.

Thanks dude! That's right, I've heard of the rocket bonus. I wasn't able to get it, but I'm guessing it requires beating one of the mini games to attain it. I guess there's also a lightning bomb (or something like that) you can get that will wipe out any of the obstacles on the table (tumbleweeds, magnet helicopters, oil slicks, etc). I think you get that through the mini games, but I'm not sure.
