Just saw these labels and there pretty high quality from the looks of it. I'd personally hate to buy a game and realize after i receive the game that the label is "custom". I flagged the guy and I hope you guys will too.

ya im def. flagging him, whats next, NFR replacement labels for your non NFR games? this makes me not to want any NFR game anymore, sickens me.

the guy could at least say like REPRO in the seal, instead of the official one, or make an original kewl label to illustrate which game the cart is clearly too.

Sent a report. Thanks for posting this.

Edit: My fave part is the fact that these aren't even labels at all...

"These are NOT self adhesive." as his discription says. I chuckled on that one....

He did that to make them look even more real but its not hard to use a glue stick or something

Oh okay I see now. Maybe I'm thinking he's using regular paper instead of matte photo-type then since regular paper has the same basic structure as sticker paper. I thought he was being lazy and just printing them on paper and cutting them out.

Still whatever the case may be, this stuff should be flagged...

Wow, the quality is top-notch no matter if they're not self-adhesive. You guys realize gamereproductions.com offers the same service for NES and SNES games, right?

Interesting. It would be good in some cases to have replacement labels like if a game is in really bad shape, but only for my own personal collecting purposes. I'm on the fence about how I feel about this. Either way, I get the impression that he just cuts them out with scissors, and that they aren't perfect. The top left of Conker's Bad Fur Day looks like he started to mess up the cut a little bit.

Yeah for reproductions... not sure the guy at that site would do a label from an actual retail without something different on it at least.

Also, isn't gamereproductions.com shut down?

Well it's not a problem for NFR's that have demo differences, and the ones that play the same as retail have a tell-sign too (on the back, not including the store sticker). Also, once you'd get one of these repolaced labeled games in hand you'd instantly know it was custom from color/thinkness of the label I'm sure.

Reported anyway though, it's not a business that should take off.

A nice idea if it was a matter of someone wanting to fix up their label, but yeah, I would hate to buy a game with a replacement label that was sold as a genuine.

Yeah not a fan of this either, but I first saw these on eBay about 6-8 months ago. Luckily N64 cart only prices are not at stupid levels, so I don't think they'll impact the scene a whole lot. Still, not a good thing to have around.

I'm not going to report him. His auction seems pretty legit. If you want to repair some of your badly damaged games then this is what you get. Besides, if you have a decent printer, and are good at cutting these out, then anyone can do it. He's taking the hassle out of doing it yourself though. It's not to expensive either.

If you want something to report, then report this:

Why would you report that? That clearly isn't a real box... These could pass as real in a photo super easily.

Um.... That custom box ISN'T made to look like an original, these labels are. As mentioned, since they look too much like the real thing, who's to say they can't slap some CBFD on a Madden and try to resell?

That custom box shouldn't be reported since there's no way you can mistake it for an original.

well i imagine you'd get a paypal dispute if you tried to sell madden off as mario party or something like that.

I think these labels would be good if they are used as replacements as the title suggests.

hell checkout my copies of mario party and super smash bros:

if he wasn't asking 4 a piece for them, i'd consider buying them off him.

Well, at least that particular cartridge can be playtested and confirmed different than the black cartridge.
