Sorry, but took it all down, every bit of it, videos, everything, just don't feel like dealing with it anymore.
Played another game of Castlevania a little while ago, been wanting to get that score rolled over on the 1st quest (as well as finishing without dying, otherwise I wouldn't count it, double goal accomplished, again), and well, I did it, on the 5th stage before encountering Grim Reaper.
First place to rack score, stage 1, the area before the door going to the second section, fight the zombies there with holy water, timing it to hit up to 6 at once (firebombing 3 as the come at you from the right side-must be from the right side, otherwise its not going to work as well for you, then back away as three more run into the fire from the same direction, but this is only if they cooperate, sometimes they don't and some decide to attack from behind you, or the next set of 3 delay too long in following the first group. A safe time to stop and move on would be when the timer reaches 80 seconds, you can push for as low as 60 but really have to rush it to the end, and hope that the bat is aggressive so you can beat it quickly. By the time this stage ends you could have between 200000 to as high as 300000, though getting that high requires all those zombies to behave properly, I actually managed once to reach 318000, but that was a one time only deal, most of the time I struggle to make it to 260000 which is what I tried to usually push for, but this particularly game I fell I think it was around 220000 points (figured I'd see how well I could make it with a lower stage 1 score). Besides uncooperative zombies, other nuisances here are the occasional stop watch dropped (they will if you fight long enough, drop a holy water again though), don't want that, it'll slow your score racking down big time, and the cross, which does nothing for you because touching it to kill zombies or anything for that matter yields no score.
The next good spot to rack points is at the end of stage 2 before the Queen Medusa battle, this time using the boomerang to hit medusa heads. Most of the time you will be able to knock out 2 of them with one boomerang, but if your timing is perfect you can hit two in front of you, walking forward just a couple blocks before it hits that second one, if it connects you might be in good shape to hit the third, which you'll then after it connects with the second, walk back again, and as the boomerang is about to touch you, jump over it, continuing following it, and again, if your timing was perfect you should hit that third medusa head for a much bigger score. By the time you are ready to battle the queen bitch herself, the timer should be letting you know you have 30 seconds left, make sure you have at least a handful of boomerangs for her to finish her off quick enough. Problem item here, the occasional holy water will be dropped, and it won't do you a bit of good in racking score against these enemies (if you get the holy water, keep whipping the medusa heads, eventually they'll drop a boomerang for you again). Anyway, you can get at least 100000 points in this stage.
Third place, end of stage 3, defeat the skull cannon right before encountering the mummies, and now, with boomerang in hand (make sure you kept this from the previous stage), kill the medusa heads like you done in stage 2, only this time focus on hitting them first as they come from the right, following the boomerang back to the left after it connects with that second medusa head, you'll hit the third, but not only that but also the white skeleton that will reappear on the platforms all the way to the left, score will jump up very quickly in this stage if you can pull off hitting all 3 medusa heads plus this skeleton with one boomerang. You can well exceed 200000 points before having to give up and go for the boss duo, at about 40 seconds or thereabout, just to be on the safe side.
Okay, the next place, stage 4, not quite as profitable, probably can be, against fishmen, but never risked it myself, I just used my whip against hunchbacks and eagles until the timer reached about 100 seconds, didn't even get 100000 points I don't think, but no biggie, the next stage will be point heaven. I stuck with keeping the boomerang, though it didn't matter because I'd switch to holy water at the start of stage 5 anyway.
In stage 5 get the holy water, make sure you keep this (besides, its always the best weapon against Death anyway), though if you end up with the boomerang again, no big deal, both weapons work just as well with what you'll be using it on. Reach the screen right before you climb the steps up to the final hallway (the spot I'm at in the pic below). On the second level, destroy the skull cannon at the top of the stairs, walk to the right, get the attention of a red skeleton, if you already had one near you, whip it or jump over it, continue right, but do let it follow, another red skeleton will rise near the steps leading to the next screen, whip it, try to get the skeleton following you and this one to collapse at the same time, as close to each other as possible. Anyway, once you get them in sync, head back left again to where the skull cannon was, make sure the red skeletons follow you, destroy the cannon again as it does reappear, whip the skeletons, head back to the right again, now a third one will rise up from where the steps are (so long as the one on the lower level isn't on screen, can only be up to 3 on screen at once), again time it so they all move and fall in conjunction with each other. Now, whether holy water or boomerang, use either, just keep dropping them with each usage, they don't stay down very long, so you'll be able to build that score up rapidly with them. I got here with around 700000 points, rolled it over still with 100 seconds to spare. Like with the technique to get an extra hit on stage 3 with the white skeleton, you can also do that here with the skull cannon too, if using the boomerang, hit the red skeletons one way, jump the boomerang, follow it, it should hit the cannon's fireballs for some extra points, though its a bit more dangerous I think doing this way, so I stick with holy water.
As for the last stage, I don't dare try anything except making through alive, but since I already done rolled the score on the previous stage, no need to do anything but beat it.
Score right before it rolled over 999.150 (was holy firebombing 3 red skeletons here all at once, ran out, but one more flick of my whip knocked them all back down, rolled the score):
Safely made it to Dracula, this time made sure to grab a stop watch on the way, after what I just pulled off, wasn't about to fail and die on the way, especially if one of those big bats decided to get frisky and swoop against me, thankfully though did not, so since I had it, was able to use it to effortlessly get through the clock tower part.
Beat the game yet again without dying (seems the maximum lives they let you carry is 23), though nearly lost to Drac's second form (perhaps I should've went with holy water on him this time, I took a risk that nearly cost me), but slayed the master vamp, my final score 999.990+70.140 (I quit the game after that, no need for the 2nd quest, didn't feel like playing it):
