I could have shaved a few points if I weren't so focused on trying to beat this without dying.  

I'm getting concerned that I might not be able to post participation this week. I keep on loosing my last live(s) on Bebop before the sewer level. I'm also having trouble performing the special attack consistently and that seems to be the key to long term survival.

Nonetheless, I'm not throwing in the towel yet. I'm going to give the game some more tries before tomorrow night.

Bebop is tough because he acts randomly, but he's easy to corral. The best thing you can do is let him attack first and then gain the advantage, because he always wants to attack first. If you can jump over his lasers and then kick him you will be able to press him. Sometimes he will charge which screws up your momentum. Do not try to attack him while he's charging and keep the battle away from the open sewer.

The third level is thankfully easy and you should be able to gain your first life by the end of the third boss. (If you need an extra point somewhere along the line to achieve this, hitting the girl on the skateboard in level 2 garners 1 point!)

Thanks for the strategies Krunch, you were right about Bebop! I felt that he had a lot more HP than Baxter at the end of stage 3. There were a few times where Bebop did an upper cut and caught me in mid air, but he was ultimately defeated.

I'm starting to lose my grit... Krang is just so hard and I struggle with the boss before him too, AND I'm not very good at Shredder on top of it all.

Does it matter which turtle you choose? Not that I'm going to play this again.

Updated my score above at Shredder 720. Sooooo close and very capable of beating this but my hands are killing me, I'm going to return to this later. There's a workable pattern for Krang but he's still really hard. I want to get to Shredder with all my lives, especially since he can one-hit kill you (which happened here)

Glad my tips helped you, ironically on one of my runs today I died on Bebop and reset  
 

I think their attack ranges are all the same, but the visual differences in animation give off the illusion of them being different ranges.  Still I think you would naturally play better with the turtle whose animation and style you prefer, this game is all about confidence and charging the enemy.

I just died at shredder shrink ray. Ayyyyeeeee

Looks like ok finish with 740+ if I can beat shredded I can never kill foot soldier with the cones/signs/water heidrants/candle sticks....
Sometimes I even miss with the exploding barrels lol

The contests had a big upswing in 2016 and 2017, and this year the participation levels have gone back down to what they were before.

My decision is also based on the fact that you probably finished your run within the time limit, but the time it took to make your post might have been in the way. That's close enough for me to say the least
