Hi guys. I am a sealed games fanatic but have just started collecting sealed NES games about a few months ago. I hope to follow in Bronty's footsteps (if that is at all possible, since I heard for some games, there is only one sealed copy ever known) and collect the entire NES library in factory sealed collection. So if you have any pointer for me about collecting sealed NES games and where to find them besides Ebay, please feel free to contact me. Thanks and nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the site, pooch.

The biggest tip I could give you about buying sealed games is to be very patient -- don't get in bidding wars on semi-common games, and try to set limits (and stick to them) on what you're willing to pay. I've acquired a few hundred sealed games over the years by sticking to my guns and only paying $20 or less on most titles (many of them were in the $5-$15 range). If you're going for the popular titles first, be sure to find out what they're worth. It's pretty common that a popular title might skyrocket on 1 auction, only to be sold a month later for hundred(s) less.

HTH,
-Dain

Thank you very much for all the welcomes and espeically for Dain's advice. I tend to get into bid wars all the time. I am one of those new collectors who try to finish the collection in a week =). I am definitely starting to learn the value of being patient. I'll send the guys with duplicate sealed games later with a PM.

welcome and wow that would be a major step in a sealed collection start

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Welcome to the site.  I recently started picking up sealed games myself.  I think I have around 25 now.  I still have a long way to go!
