I doubt I will do much better than this. I am sure there is something I am missing/doing wrong.

I'm not great at this game either, but here's a little tip. Watch the enemy patterns. Some enemies only move down the pyramid and other enemies only move up the pyramid, and the snake can move in any direction. For example, the red balls can't hurt you if you're above them because they can only go down.


 

Yea... I just panic I suppose. Not the game for me.

I just hate when enemies land directly on your head as you are jumping....there is like no possible way to avoid it.

I know for some of the first enemies you simply just don't touch the 2 blocks that are right below the peak of the stage because that is where they spawn but it is just "when" they spawn.

Also those purple dicks who just kind of fly around are hard to determine where they go as well.

...which makes the later levels where the discs are right next to those 2 blocks real fun  

Dunno if I'm going to make too many more attempts.  Game is brutal hard on 4 and beyond and I'm swamped with work and other obligations this week.  Plus I'm thinking about finally playing Lufia 2

I'd focus on clearing the bottom of the board first then working your way up,although ultimately the enemies dictate the route you take.

If a particular board doesn't drop red balls,then feel free to start near the top.

If Ugg and Wrong Way don't appear on a board,then start off clearing the bottom.

If everything is thrown at you,then just pick a side and clear out a section devoid of enemies.

As for the discs near the top,I would stand on the top block and wait for Coily to get close then jump down to the lower block and then onto the disc. Even if you get on it a little early he'll still jump off the board and clear the enemies from it.

Oh and grab the green ball. It will get you out of many sticky situations. And you are invincible to all enemies while time is stopped.

Memorize the order of enemies in later levels. That way you can ambush that asshole Sam

And when I do, I must be careful or a random someone could end seeing up more than they were meant to!

And tonight I will try to play sober. I need to get past the bloody level 3.

I just can't play this damn game................it is one of the games throughout my life that I will think about once in awhile and go, yeah that Q*Bert is a pain in my balls.

One of the first games I ever played actually and have always felt the same way about it up until this day.

I also hate this game! Probably would have liked it more if I'd have had more time this week !
 

And I won't be updating my score today.
It was a very stressful Friday, and I am on my third shot of rum. The walls are moving.

Damn Beatrice? Three!? You better get yourself together!

 

I am a cheap date! My brothers got all the alcohol impervious liver from dad. I got all mum's weakness to alcohol.  
 

I'm going to try and give it a few more go's before Sunday, but I'm not gonna stress about it. Sunday is money in the bank and that's more important than q*bert and golf!
