Ugh. My three day layoff didn't help me at all as I haven't been able to even come close to my top score. I'm not getting very many good bounces so far. One thing that is crippling my scores is the bottom screen. How in the MFing hell do you escape from it?! I die 9.5 out of 10 times when my ball falls to the bottom screen. How in the f'n hell do you consistently make that GD shot up the f'n POS right ramp?! Horrible, horrible design by the programmers! I guess this is why I've never been huge on pinball in general as it's a game that you can't completely control the outcome of regardless of your skill level.
My anxiety shoots up to all kinds of new heights when I'm on the bottom screen because I have no real working strategy for it, but with my last few attempts I've developed one that has a decent success rate
Get the ball onto the right flipper and hit it when the ball is about to fall off, it will shoot around the bonus tunnel to the left flipper and then it's all about speed. If the ball is going fast enough then hit the left flipper when the ball is about to fall off, if it hasn't gained enough speed then hold the left flipper up to let the ball roll over it onto the right flipper and repeat the cycle.
Thanks again for the welcome guys, there's some great scores here.
Yeah gutsman I feel the same way about the bottom screen, but you have a lot of chances to not let the ball fall that far down. Since I'm always focusing on getting to the sky I seem to be spending most of my time on that level or Level 3 (with the slots) and it's really easy to get back up to Level 3 if you fall to the level beneath it.
That's the way I've been getting the ball back up too, Notrevania. One thing I've noticed that might help you guys is that the ball seems to fling father up the chute the slower the ball rolls down the left flipper. Maybe it's just me imagining things
