what a shame, things are never that bad to need to take your own life.

no matter what is going wrong in your own life there is always someone worse off or in a harder spot than you are.

I saw him at the various RetrowareTV panels at Magfest this year. He seemed like a really energetic and personable guy, it's a shame this happened to him.

My son... gives me Helpful Nintendo Hints that are far too complex for the adult mind to comprehend. Here's a verbatim example: "OK, there's Ganon and miniature Ganon and there's these things like jelly beans and the miniature Ganon is more powerfuller, because when you touch him the flying eagles come down and the octopus shoots red rocks and the swamp takes longer." And the hell of it is, I know he's right. - Dave Barry

Damn... He was the coolest, happiest guy ever when I met him at MAGfest a couple years ago. We had a nice conversation about NES games since I was holding a bunch of CIBs that I'd just bought on the floor. His you can play this videos were pretty entertaining too. This is terrible news.

edit: just read his wife's fb post and now I'm so incredibly sad. I can't even articulate how terrible this is.

Extremely sad to hear of this. While I wasn't a sub to his channel I had seen him on other channels and seeing the clip from his stream it just is so sad. Condolences to his wife, family, and those that knew him.

Depression is an illness in need of treatment, it is not something that you simply will away. Often it doesn't make sense, isn't coherent, and causes you to do things you normally wouldn't. Why else would he do what he did with his wife on the other side of the door? And why else would he have put up such a convincing mask for everybody else?
Have you had true, chronic depression? If not, you can't speak for what it's like for those who have.

You don't know what he went through either. And as somebody who struggled/still struggles with chronic depression and trauma and all those things, I know for a fact telling yourself that your problems are insignificant because others have bigger problems only makes it worse. Regardless of how big your problems are, they ARE important and they NEED care, love, attention, and patience. Your advice is well-intentioned but unsafe. Just because you're not some starving child dying of cholera in a backwater shithole, it doesn't make your problems any less real, valid, important, or heartbreaking.

I didn't know much about this guy aside from base familiarity until today, but what an incredible guy. I'll miss him.

And yes, we may all be headed straight to Hell, but what better place for us than this? It is our only home.
Our Heaven, and our Hell.
This, is Outer Heaven.

This was really hard to hear. He was such a bright, funny, genuinely nice guy. I had had some correspondence with him a handful of times. I'd donated a few games to him and been to some of his live streams. He somehow ended up in my Skype contacts, I'm not sure how, but we never really conversed on there. He did however take the time to message me and wish me a happy birthday back in November. He was a guy that genuinely loved to inform and entertain, and he'll be sorely missed by a lot of people in the community.

Edit: My avatar as a matter of respect. My username is bad enough in the context of this thread.

Very sad news. I may rant on about my dislike for most youtubers, but Justin was awesome, and I bet a really good dude in person. He will be missed by the community, and by video makers in general. RIP JewWario!

Hearing about a death in any subculture I take part in is always hard. He had some great videos and a unique personality, I didn't see this coming.
It's just messed up; everything can be over in an instant, be it by your own hand or some other force...

RIP JewWario, still doesnt seem real, and is very sad.
It's hard to pull yourself out of depression sometimes depending on what the root of it is,and its very sad to think he thought death was the only option left.
He seemed like the type of guy everyone would want to be friends with.
You will be missed by many many people justin.
