I beat this game for the first time last year, and haven't played it since. So I may not do to well this week.

Maybe you should spend less time defending your scores and show some proof.

Didn't you say "I had the best run of my life in NG", but somehow you have strategy, which should net you close to the same score, or even higher. Keep talking because the more you talk, the more you contradict yourself. It's not like these strategies are hard to google either. I just found a video that shows how to get 2 million points, so if you can't take a joke, then what was it... kick rocks?

i was the only one asked to do more than a normal contestant needed to do in order to submit an acceptable score. that isn't fair and i attempted to stand up to it. it seems that fighting back probably wasn't worth it. "I can understand getting frustrated about it, but you should have just shrugged it off and produced another run" is what i was told. if you just had the best ninja gaiden run of your life and someone said, "ok, do it again for it to count.", i think you would be a little upset.it's unfortunate because even if i made a video, nobody's going to believe it because my videos are all direct capture off of the console. basically, if you fight for fairness, you'll get kicked. i don't have a problem with that but at least i'm attempting to fight for fair treatment. had i just shrugged it off and didn't say anything, i would have been fine and been able to compete? that seems pretty lame. anyway, i had fun competing with you guys and good luck on the games to come. peace

Even if I understand you can get upset because people ask you to prove further your scores, take good note that it is in the contest rules:

Cheating

- Cheating will NOT be tolerated in any form. This contest is based on trust and honor. Anyone found cheating will be banned from further competition.
- If there is suspicion of a member cheating, I will review the case and the member may be asked to present further evidence of their score.

If you constantly post great scores, and that your submissions raise doubts from other competitors and even organizers, it is just normal that you need to clear yourself of these doubts through further evidence. Bimmy had the right to ask, and you should have been ready to prove yourself. Any big competitors know that, only cheaters run away from showing proofs. Your Donkey Kong submission was strangely done, we let it go. Bimmy asked proofs about a tetris score you posted, you didn't gave them, and let it go again. Now, you post, again, a suspicious submission for ninja gaiden. It is the way you submit your scores that are questionnable. Don't you think it is just normal that Bimmy do his job and ask you, again, to prove your score?

You should feel honored that he ask you to prove your score, cause it means that you're good enough to raise suspicions. Instead, you're on the defensive and argue that Bimmy is not fair with you. There's no place for a fairness trial. If Bimmy ask you, you must respond to it.

Phew, looks like I've been missing all sorts of fun pow-wows and fireside chats in my two-week hiatus. I have enough drama in my day-to-day.

If someone thinks I am cheating, please disallow my scores and tell me to redo them. I hate playing on an emulator for the carts I don't have because I don't want anyone to think I'm cheating. And really what's the point of doing so? It's not like you are going to be rich and famous for winning any of these contests. And we are all good gamers, some more well rounded than others, but we are all good at at least a few of our favorites. I just like seeing how well I stack up with everyone else just for fun and seeing other players' scores and how they obtained them. It makes me a better gamer. Would I like to win at least one competition? (I'm looking at you Rad Racer!) Sure, but it's not that big of a deal. Most of all I like chatting and competing with you guys. (and gals!!!) Even gnarl. I know he's under fire right now,but I still believe that he's a good gamer.

Play with both! Telekinetic ninjas are the only ones worth talking about.

Bad jokes aside, I don't think gnar is a cheater, but I think video proof is required for this one. I understand you don't want to show your strategy, but Tom (DK) made a vid about it and you should also make one. I understand that further proof is required regarding the shady nature of the pic, but even though you'll show your strategy in the vid, you may still be first (the vid is just theory, and practice is one whole different thing)
Game on!

Are games for consoles aside from NES ever picked for these contests? Not that I'm saying they should be, but a SNES version would be cool for people who prefer that system.

It's only for NES at the current moment in time. It would be cool to have some SNES competitions though.

Any suggestions for good places to point press?

I'm going to fire this up tonight if I have time.

I haven't played it yet, but towards the end of each area would be best, or close to, because the timer resets. The only trick place would be level 5 and level 6 as I'm not sure exactly where the clock resets.

it was made very obvious that short of inviting a bunch of these people to my apartment to watch me play, no video i made would be accepted. that's when i gave up

Had you not posted several shady pictures and photoshops, things would've been different. You're the one who chose not to take video when asked, and instead cried about it. Why are you still posting in here?
