Looks good to me, just make sure you swap bin the ROM before programming it.

Star Fox 2 is one of my most requested repro carts from people. I'm thinking maybe making a little pcb board that does all of the rewiring might make this long project only take a couple minutes.

Has anyone tried this with the the SFC version of Stunt Race FX - WildTrax?

It will work just fine. US SNES and SFC use the same hardware, both the console and cartridges.

This is pretty cool, now I know why people charge such a premium for Starfox 2. I'd love to get into repro making, there's so many I want and I could save a pile of cash and make a few bucks making them for people.

Add an extra step for all you DIYers: Insulate all the wires+pins or else it'll work maybe once.

Yea need to move them over to imgur, now that the ROM has been dumped from the SNES Classic it might be a good time to do it

Does stunt race fx works with the final rom or shall i get a fx2 donor?

The new ROM from the SNES Classic is still only 8mbit so any FX game will work as long as it has 512k SRAM.

I don't think I had an image showing the pinout, the surface mounted ROMs is the same as the through hole ROMs. You swap bin the ROM before programming and cross pins 24 and 31 when wiring it to the board.

ok so basically pin 1 eeprom goes to pin 1 old maskrom etc. and the usual 24 goes to 31 and 31 to 24? Have to try it on the weekend, thx

Do you now make the Star Fox 2 with one from the SNES Mini itself? that's the version I had made and wondering if you have this extracted Rom from the SNES Mini yet.

If that is the ROM that the customer wants. It has been dumped and works on a real SNES.
