I just currently completed my 268th edition to my collection with Operation Logic Bomb. When I started, I already had almost all of the valuable RPGs on the system (barring Harvest Moon, EVO and Earthbound), and Megaman X2 and X3, Demon's Crest, etc., all of which I procured cheap in the early-mid 2000s. I then collected a lot of carts in the $40 range in 2015 and 2016 that are now about $80 (Skyblazer and Jetson's, I'm looking at you).

SNES collecting is a beast, good luck and have fun! I'm only procuring the games I want to play now (which is a very large number). I will continue collecting until I grab the last 100 or so titles I want, but I doubt I'll ever spend the $3000 it'll take to grab like the 10 most expensive titles. I really don't want to indulge in a library of hundreds of lame sports and party games either, and definitely not Barbie lol. Definitely look out for great deals, and try to utilize local resources if you can as ebay buy it nows can be pretty obscene. Also, if you do choose eBay to do the bulk of your shopping, your strategy of buying lots at cheap will work for the common titles. You can even try to resell the lots and make your money back, making commons very cheap. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of rarer titles as well, sometimes people will unload their collections and often times if you don't mind paying a lot for the bulk of the titles, you can get them at discounted rates over buying them separately.

I can definitely understand and you are lucky to have scooped up alot of titles years ago before they became so pricey. Id imagine as time goes on the prices will continue to creep up - they aren't getting any younger! I just got in about 20 or so games from a few different ebay lots and tested them all out to make sure they are functioning properly. I can definitely say I probably won't ever load Mario's Early years: Preschool Fun with Numbers back into my console although I did go through several exercises to make myself feel good about my being able to comprehend and pass a 3 year olds quiz game.

I remember several of the more expensive titles from when I was quite young and my cousin and I would spend hours rocking through games. Demon's crest was a favorite of ours and I am not surprised its a pricier title but am a bit disappointed I will have to wait a bit until I can get a decent deal on a copy. I think this is one of those hobbies where the more you want it at a good price the less likely it is to appear - I am going to just try to stay patient until I can get ahold of one.

Sorry everyone for posting in the wrong forum, lets blame my noobishness this time.

That picture and theme sounds awesome - I wish I would have consulted you prior to establishing my account.

Pickup of the day was Contra III. Probably could have done better than $45 but recent sales at a glance on ebay were between $48-60 so I guess i did alright.
