I don't care about that. But mine is the highest score that you'll find anywhere online afaik.

 

Nice job, Michael! You have really put a lot of time and effort into Marble Madness since we played it the contests back in February. Your hard work and determination has certainly paid off. Keep up the good work and I'm hoping you crack 180k.

It is cool to get the recognition, though. I'm glad you've found your game. It seems everyone has theirs.

I also love Ninja Gaiden, but since the points system is broken, it's more about speedrunning. I'll never be able to speedrun it. For one thing, I'm incapable of quick slash technique that is required to get fast times. And it's a game that I don't want to rush. I care more about having a solid run with few or no deaths than beating it quickly.

I also love Tetris, but I know that I suck.

So yeah, MM is my game.



Plus it's easy to practice because a game only takes about three minutes.

Oh wow, that is awesome Michael! You got the best score pictured on the internet right now!!! You're going to break that 180k mark anytime soon, which is giving me the itch to get back to the woodwork and pass that mark as well  

Also, I'm glad to see you can finish the ultimate race with 78 seconds. Once you can get 79 seconds left from time to time you'll be able to really break the roof and, maybe, get as high as 182k...!!!

Wow good job! I can barely place in weekly contests when I even have time, can't imagine tackling much less breaking a freakin' world record! Amazing, congratulations

Yeah, I can sometimes hit 78, but it's quite difficult. You have to go through the whole thing practically without slowing down at all (other than waiting at the start of the final section). I'm amazed that I managed to do it after breaking the black marble and then getting the second stage wand.

I had a real chance the other day to hit 180k after reaching the ultimate race with 67k but I choked. This helps make up for it.





 

Yeah, having 67k before the Ultimate race is huge, I bet you had amazing wand placements and a really slick run going there.

I insist, if you continue playing like you do, your 77 seconds will become 78, and your 78 will become 79. With the world record in your pocket, there's no reason not aim for a perfect finish  

In the 67k run I got wands in stages 2, 3 and 5 as well as breaking the black marble. Stage 2 and 3 wands are fairly common, but getting three well placed wands almost never happens, especially in conjunction with breaking the black marble. It's this game's equivalent of hitting the lottery jackpot. The stress was huge. It's no wonder I choked.


 

Indeed, getting 3 wands is already a joke, but getting 3 worthwhile wands is the most extreme luck you can wish in that damn game. Your heart was probably beating at 200 pulses/min.
