The Panel will be that Sunday during the convention at 1:30 NA time. I will be sure to update again before that of course but this way people can make sure they can get ahold of the LEs if they want as they will only be released there and in limited quantities.

So the LEs are not part of the Kickstarter, but will be released at TMG? Is this for the game, or for the book? Let us know the plan Jeffrey, I'm confused.

Either way, I'm excited to see what comes of all of this. Keep up the good work man!

The LEs will be released exclusively via Kickstarter.

What I was saying is that since the Kickstarter will be going live at a public event, that means it will have high visiblity. So if people are wanting to get the LEs, that will be pretty limited, they will need to get in on the campaign when it goes live.

So another aspect I am trying to work is to have the option to release the soundtrack on Vinyl Record. I have contacted the couple of people who have published previous gaming Vinyls but they don't seem interested.

Anyone actually interested in this venue and have any ideas?

No problems man! As soon as my panel is over at TooManyGames I'll be sure to update this thread too!

So I can officially talk about the huge news from this weekend! We should be able to offer a conversion of Rob's NES game to the Retro VGS as a stretch goal! If that goal is met, there will be free limited ones thrown in with the LE NES CIBs and they will carry Joe Simko's limited edition artwork with a special color! Really great stuff is brewing.

Next up hopefully adding vinyl? Still no distributor able to support a smaller run.

So progress is being made getting the campaign ready for launch.

I now have the Limited Edition artwork in my possession and wow does it look amazing! I have also started seeing some of the ground work from Roth and it's starting off amazing.

One thing about TooManyGames. I am going to have some Promo NES boxes with me! This box will be limited to the first 10 backers of the project that at least back the book tier and will include both Joe Simko covers, one for the NES book and the LE NES CIB artwork! These covers will differ slightly from the actual covers as they have promo art with them with Too Many Games on the sides and too.

That being said, I assume people at the convention will be the first backers, however, if someone here on NA is one of the first backers, I'll include the promo box with your pledge, if it's at least a book level. I'll even ship early if you cover shipping here on NA. I figure this is a cool way to promote the project!

I'm tempted to post pictures once they come in!

So working on the finishing touches for the campaign. I'd like to get some feedback on the regular edition box art. Since it's called "Jeffrey Wittenhagen's Black Box Challenge" I am thinking, since Rob wants my picture in it, of doing some kind of hilarious with it. Too many homebrews are using the "black box" style so, even though it's in the name, we gotta rule that out.

UncleTusk mentioned lasers, cats and bananas etc. haha.

I'm thinking something with 80s/90s neon flare, jungle theme, as I have a forest behind my house for a background. Lasers everywhere, make it look ridiculous. Thoughts?

So I have a project related question. What if I move the start date of the Kickstarter to next Friday evening the 26th?

My mentality behind this is that when I am at Too Many Games and am telling people about the project, the campaign will be live instead of them having to remember to go there on Sunday. Seems way smarter to me.

That being said, not only would the LEs be going up on Friday, but as a special treat the first 10 people to back the project at the Hardcover Book or CIB Game tier or higher will get a special promotional box! This box has both versions of Joe Simko's artwork on it, the Color book cover on one side and a smaller version of the Limited Edition cover on the back!

Am I the only on that thinks that the promo box sounds like a cool idea?
