Well, I got off work at 8 PM today, and my girlfriend told me to kinda stick around and wait for her until she was off at 9. So I decided I'd walk over to GameStop (across the parking lot from the Wal-Mart I work at), and see what they have. So I get to looking around, see a copy of RPG Maker 3 in their 50%-off bin (was $29.99, now $14.99), pick it up, and walk on. I get to looking at the little shelf unit where they keep the remnant of the older games and accessories (as I'm sure most of you know, they clearanced all their oldish games 75% off), and found a couple Genesis controllers (tagged for 99c each), and a copy of NFL 2K for the Dreamcast (which I still think is one of the better football games they ever made; tagged for 49c). I looked down into the N64 and Genesis/SNES shelves, and lo and behold, a cart-only Final Fantasy 3 SNES in plain sight right in front of everything, staring at me. As it was tagged for $9.99, I didn't hesitate to snatch it up. Paid for it all, used my Edge card, it ended up ringing up like this:

NFL 2K, 7c (yes, seven cents). Final Fantasy 3, $1.50 (it also said "You saved $30 by buying used!", which led me to wonder if they had any new copies...and if they did, how many did they have, so I could buy them all). Genesis Controllers, 89c each. RPG Maker 3, $14.99.

Total post-tax, $20.04. Not a bad day, exactly.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Actually, they had 11 SNES games...Final Fantasy 3 was the only good one of the lot (the rest were all dirt-common sports games).

Congrats. Most of the GameStops and EB Games locations are completely dried up for their classic games. They've been doing the 75% off sale for too long and everything good is already gone when I've checked.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia!
