Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week’s game is going to be Mendel Palace.  Here are the rules:
 
 

• 1 player only
• Play until Game Over
• Play the stages in any order
• To get your score, continue your game after getting a Game Over and take your picture on the stage select screen
• Highest score wins
• Participation score : 100,000
• GENRE: Puzzle

 
 
The contest ends Sunday, 10/2/16 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

Definitely gonna need to look at a guide or something for this.  I gather that you want to uncover all the icons and get them in a certain order?  Perhaps chain the enemies or something too?

I bet some people are going to wreck this game. I likely won't be one of them. But I foresee wizardry this week (like most weeks). 

Sadly I was not able to get a physical copy of this game for this week. I couldn't justify buying a CIB and there are zero loose carts for sale in my city.

I have a Powerpack but I have to buy some supplies to get it working again. Am I severely handicapped playing this on a keyboard instead of a real controller?

I use a Logitech pad for emulation weeks where I don't have the cart. But controls and basic gameplay are very simple so keyboard arrow keys should be fine.



 

I'm not a fan of this one. I'll probably just practice Kickmaster this week.

Part of me wants to give myself a bit of a breather and take participation this week since I think the odds of skinny catching me are now about 1%, and bert already has puzzles locked up

On the other hand this game seems really bizarre and I want to know its secrets

With this participation, I've locked in the puzzle win.  So, due to time constraints, I probably won't play too much more this week.  It bothers me that you can easily beat a level without getting all the points.  Definately a game that looks to require more time than I have to get a high score.
Decided to make my score a little more presentable.  

I will most likely sit this one out.
I still have a ton of stuff to figure out at Mighty Bomb Jack, need more chocolate and pick proper flowers to apologize to the girl for spending Friday night and Sunday night on video games.

Never played this game and I've gotta say, it's a pretty damn good game!

My life has been so fucking ridiculous lately boys I have had absolutely zero time to play.......

I quit one of my two jobs and took a huge paycut, I have had(what feels like) all the time in the world to play, working only 40 hours a week! I stopped playing for 6 weeks (I think ) and I can't figure out why the fuck I did that!!😳

The levels with the swimmers are chaos. I was thinking about trying to just finish out the game but it gets brutal
