Xbox 360 perhaps?  What's it play like, or can it be played on anything you've tried it on?

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I've not tried it on my PC to see what kind of file structure it has. Other than that, I don't have a TEST PS3 or Xbox 360 debugger to try it on :/ ...

Edit:  Alright...I tried it on the PC, and it refuses to read it.  It's not on a DVD-R, btw...it's a dual-layer DVD+R instead.  Most unusual...

An update:

After some legwork and reading old posts at Digital Press, I've found that the Turok disc is actually for PS2.  I edited my list to reflect this.

I've got a prototype of Kyle Petty No Fear racing for the SNES.

Plays very similar to the released game except that the title screen doesn't mention Kyle Petty.

Here comes a probably pretty rare one:
Triumph (Game Boy / Hudson Soft / 1991)

It was planned for release in the US but eventually got canned. Originally a NES game (never been released outside of Japan) the Game Boy version did only hit the stores across Europe (named "Castle Quest").

Just checked if the 20 year old eprom is still working (see photos):

Oddly, enough, Matt and I dumped an identical proto for a member of this site (though I can't remember who it was).  Pretty fun game actually.

Yeah, Castle Quest/Triumph is indeeed a very good GB game. The NES version is even better, cause they had to leave some content out when converting it. Hudson did supply the US video gaming magazines with preview code of their planned Triumph release, seems like at least one (which you dumped) is still alive.

Did you guys ever come across a GB eprom from "Sarakon" (Starbyte)? This should definitely be a very, very rare Game Boy proto.

I will put up a list of all the protos and dev carts I have here in my next post - as soon as I can find the time to test if all eproms are still running.
