Well, this might be it for me. I just got hit with a bunch of work through the end of the week. I'm going to at least try to devote a couple hours to Adventure Island tomorrow to get a better score up on the board, but this is most likely my last score for Galaga:

Awesome NGII score WickedWonka! If you can get there and beat a boss or two you should reach my score, or pass it. I didn't play a damn thing yesterday, and too tired now, and work weekend coming up, so this may be it for me. Will have to see how much energy I have for playing games, if not and I get beat, eh, no big deal. Not sure how much I can reserve towards 3 games a week anyway for several weeks, may be too much for me.

Thanks much Megan. Pretty sure I can do much better took me a few hours of level studying to get there. Heres a paused game of kickle cubicle. Thats over a hour and a half straight, finally couldnt take it anymore. May unpause in the morning and try and beat it on, but theres a map coming up soon that always gives me trouble.

Oh, so used to them ending on Sunday. Well now, I guess that'll work. If I don't do anything this weekend, I always have Monday to give it my all.

Rhet brings up a good point.  I'm gonna make a rule in Battletoads that you can't intentionally rack points using this method of dying and grabbing the 1-up right after you die.

We made an exception for this week because of Thanksgiving, and those for which family is still sacred.

But this ties into thanksgiving week, and I'm sure some people will begin traveling Sunday through Tuesday if they have out of state family

Well, as you know, I don't know jack about Thanksgiving in the US, Bimmy actually extended round 1. Maybe he can explain his reasonings about extending it to November 20, while Thansgiving is actually 22nd? Do people use to celebrate at the exact date, or during the nearest weekend?

Had some time to play this morning. Thought this ended on Sunday, too. Hopefully I'll have a chance to play again before Tuesday, but who knows.

I extended round 1 for a couple reasons.  1. I didn't want to start round 2 during Thanksgiving week in case anyone was traveling during the holiday and wouldn't get a chance to participate.  Any time a contest has been held Thanksgiving week, participation is always extremely low because of the holiday.  2. Since I decided to delay the start of round 2, I decided to extend round 1 a couple days and give everyone more playing time

Ugh, Clu Clu Land is faster than I remember it.  Getting better at the hard levels, but I keep making dumb mistakes.

Snoopy Sports is NOT "spectacular", but I think I'm getting the hang of it.  Need to play that some more.

Actually, what I really need to do is play TMNT 3, but that will have to be later.

Anyway, here's what I've got so far:

Clu Clu Land: 238,100
Snoopy: 11,310

Note to Bimmy: Is it ok that I used the ending screen instead of the point tally screen?  The rules ask for the other one, but I was too slow.  This screen stays up, so at least I got this.  I think you get it as long as you're over 10,000 points.

Another score.
After screwing up in level 6 (the snake pit)
I did another run this time i got to the end of level 8 but the boss got me.

Abadox  117130

This game i reset after i lose 1 life because there is no point in going on after you lose your power ups.
I find level 3 a lot easier than level 2.

That screen is fine too, Tom.  If anyone has difficulty getting a picture of the point tally screen in Snoopy, feel free to take a picture of the other one.  But as Tom mentions, you may have to score over 10,000 to get the second screen.
