Before doing anything stupid again, I just ask.
No matter playing on a keyboard, level 3 is so easy that I can compete with the scores being published so far.
Before taking pictures and so on, I want to be sure about this competition format.
I'm not a big gamer, a top gamer, or whatever. I'm just very used to some games, which are the few ones I can play decently, like Super Off Road (ok, this one the NES version, but the SNES was not too different), or Street Fighter II, or Final Fantasy III (US). Games I used to have == games I can play, and I care about play.
So, two questions, probably stupid:
1. if I play this game, get a good score which ranks within the best, take a picture of my monitor with scores, send a zip file with all screen shots stage by stage, will I be believed that I did not cheat? I mean no save states, and so on, or it will feel like doubtful?
2. If I don't play anything else later next months (unless something else I can play pops up), it is this like trolling in the competition? I mean, I would reduce the points to the next ranked players get, and so make some tiny difference in the season ranking, and someone may lose the season title or a position because of that.
If few words: it's a little while now that I'm on NA, I think to have a good reputation (and do not want to lose it), I'm a fair player, I like to play SFII, I can only play on emulator, I think it would be fun to take part just in this specific month of the contest just about this game, because I think I have a little chance to rank decently, and I'd like to know if this is welcome.
Please let me know.
@quest4nes
believe it or not, I can't edit my posts with this specific OS and obsolete browser.
I can only write stuff in the box on the bottom of the page in vintage version, or post only images without text.
The pop up text box does not work. I cannot even quote people. So, I'm, of course, perfectly fine with deleting if that post is wrong, but a mod has to do so. Sorry about that.
By the way, also for my records, I'll have to have score written in a post, picture in the next.
I'm not a mod, but... You don't need the zip file, only a picture of your score along with your name. Emulators are allowed so it's okay as long as you don't use save states. It's the honor system. Cheating is often possible even with real hardware.
Here are the rules:
