I don't care how the seller tries to justify it, it's not a good idea.

Part of seller description:

"The next thing to talk about I this being confused as a real Yellow Zelda Test Cartridge. There are a number of things on this that makes it so this doesn't happen.

1. It says reproduction right on the front label

2. On the back the gold label doesn't have an inlay like all NES back labels do

3. The inlay towards the bottom does not have Nintendo stamped into it

This is for the collector who wants the Yellow Zelda cartridge but doesn't want to pay thousands for the real thing."

so instead you pay 300.00 for a 30.00 repro?

Whatever.

I hate 1:1 repros as much as the next guy, but it is clearly shown as "reproduction" on the front of the label. If someone is dumb enough to pay that much for a fake then oh well.

Isn't the game on a Zelda test cart the exact same as a regular Zelda?
So in theory this guy gutted a Zelda, put it in a yellow cart and printed a new label?
Between labor/parts plus a small mark up for profit. I am not sure if that costs $300...but I am not a repro manufacturer myself

At least he was nice enough to state it's a repro.

Should probably sell a conversion kit instead since this is just a common game in a custom shell. It's still pretty silly because anyone who wants a test cart knows that this is no more like having one than having a copy of Zelda. The authenticity is the ONLY thing that matters about this particular variant!
