Hi guys, I have 3 n64 controllers that all need replacement analog sticks, looking for some really good quality ones. Any brand recommended that don't have really stiff sticks? Thanks

I've yet to find quality replacements. Most of the 'better' ones are in the $10 to $15 range. Either go with the Gamecube style, or take a good joystick from an OEM gray controller.

If you have the capability of opening them I would suggest you open the part that has the joystick and clean the area. I did this and my sticks might no be tight but they work better and are more smooth.

***** STAY AWAY FROM THE GAMECUBE STYLE ONES THEY ARE GARBAGE*****

The Hori Mini pads are alright, but criminally overrated. They're waaay too small to be comfortable during long stretches of play.
They also use a joystick similar to the GameCube-style ones already mentioned as being garbage in this thread. They're certainly not garbage on the Hori Mini pad, but they are far from great.

Brawler64 is hands down the best third party N64 controller ever made. The original is slightly better, but only when brand new.
After one month of usage, the Brawler64 has it beat. Plus, it's cheap and easy to get.

Agreed re: brawler controller. I haven't gone back to the OEM controllers since getting mine, and they're not even expensive.

Would love if the Brawler pad doubled its price and quality. It feels criminally cheap. I feel like people in the market for a good third party N64 controller are more than willing to pay a premium for quality.

Yeah it’s a good controller but you are correct, they feel cheap. My thumb stick is already wearing out

Kitsch Bent (think that's spelled right) has good replacement parts to rebuilt them.

I would like to add a comment about the Brawler64. I have had mine since late December. While playing Castlevania the control stick started to act up. I thought it was the bad camera of the game at first, but it would even happen while on a stright path. While moving forward the character will randomly veer to the right. I have tried this on other games since and verified that it is the controller causing this. Just giving you guys a heads up.

I also vote for the Hori Mini Pad - I've rocked one forever and it's nothing but quality. Never heard of them having joystick issues personally.

GAH! Every time I look at those sticks I want one so bad! But 125 bucks for the full module replacement, Sheesh! Plus, seems like this whole product is still in the experimental/prototype phase... I wouldn't expect anything other than perfection paying those prices, I wouldn't want to risk getting a less than perfect product...

I've ordered from them several times. Never tired to contact them as orders came within a reasonable time.
