dude you can submit a score if you want. just making a joke that you have nothing to prove here and its way below you.
You would be a nightmare to play in vs. those endless chains would finish a person off in like 30 seconds.
Well, he genuinely wants to encourage more people to play and get good at this under-appreciated game and I can see how going against him may be a bit discouraging. There were a couple players on zBattle.net that he used to get a good challenge out of and our roommate is pretty good, but he's long grown tired of us. The game deserves to be evangelized particularly because there's room for almost endless skill development. It doesn't throttle or limit you or anything. Those crappy web/mobile puzzle games will out-right lock your controls while matches are being made, pieces are falling, and chains are happening. NOT TETRIS ATTACK! It's actually disappointing to see it getting compared to the likes of Bejeweled and Candy Crush here since I've been face-palming every time some casual says that IRL for the last 20 years. It's in a totally different league!
I particularly like the SFC and SNES versions. The N64 version became static with almost no animation while the 16-bit versions had miniature animated characters, main animated characters, background/surrounding animated character, fully-animated backgrounds, and more. Seeing the background and foreground ripple with heat waves while Flamer Guy and Blarge react to the gameplay is super impressive.
The flute and piano tracks sound amazing even for the SPC700, and the composer has the skill to back that up with excellent music making this one of the best-composed SNES games alongside Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island and the Donkey Kong Country series.
I think it's awesome that even Nintendo's little projects back then oozed so much quality.
