I really enjoyed the first one, but I'm ashamed to say that I've only played the demo.

But where.is.dragon.quest.monsters.switch?!?!?!

The demo was borning!  Right when they finally let you go do something...that's it for the demo!
 

Just got it in the mail today. Only played to the first save point, so I don't really have an opinion yet. I loved the first one though, so I assume I'll like the second one as well.

Got the Golem upgraded to a copper golem, now working on the silver mining.

I also learned a very valuable lesson in the game last night. Upgrade everyone's weapon before a battle. I forgot to do this before a fight and it took nearly 25 minutes before I had one monster left. I had a power blip so I had to redo it. Gave everyone (sans Malroth) a copper sword and the fight took 3 minutes and zero resources.

I'm waiting!

I shouldn't make excuses for not getting it, they made a sequel for a reason. Since I enjoyed the demo, I really should get this game and it's sequel.

 

I got silver last night. It was funny, right when I found the first silver ore, I saw a suspicious looking wall and decided to take a detour, it ended up leading to a room completely full of gold ore. Not sure if the story ends up leading to that room or if its a secret, but either way I am set for gold for awhile.

This game is amazing, 1 was really good, but 2 has improved on every single thing. I should easily get 100 hours out of this one.

I just stumbled upon the temple - this game is absolutely fucking HUGE. Between the water, land, and now super complex tunnel systems - just amazing.

Yeah I just found the temple too, had to stop and take a break before I dive into it.

I did this too! Stumbled upon that gold ore site. I left it alone to follow the story and eventually the story leads you there. But I do love exploring just to find mini medal puzzles and other random things. 
 

So much talking!!! I learn something new and 5 different townspeople want to talk to me blah blah blah. Just let me build the damn thing already!

Hah ya. I tried the demo and after 15mins of walking back and forth having to talk to people/ things, I gave up. 

I killed 2 dragons and got the dragon's bane and armor, pretty badass lookin gear. Just finishing up the gold bar, such an addicting game

Hm. I didn't get that armor. Did you kill 2 dragons for quest purposes or was one just out in the wild? If in the wild, do you remember where?

There is. I skip 99% of it now. There's so much overfluff of text. It's my only complaint, though.

They were in the wild in the desert island. One was near the Oasis where the king slime is, and the other was out in the wild. I killed an ogre and learned how to make an awesome shield too

Killing dragons and ogres teaches you the armor and weapon recipes. Its pretty beefy shit, those big muscly guys in the mines do nothing for damage now

I love the look of the Dragon set, the shoulders look killer.

Do you guys know how to tell your base boundaries? It was easy in the 1st one. I built a bunch of rooms then realized parts of them were outside the base area.

I just go by the music, changes when you leave the base

Heh, I'm still working on the 1st one just started chapter 3 last night... at this rate it will be some time before I get to the 2nd game.
