Los Angeles Collector maybe a little TOO organized...

Hello! I'm tom from Los Angeles and I found NA looking for the nwc repo carts (was a day late to dutch in). very glad to see more NES freaks out there. I'm about halfway through my collection (I have around 430 games loose right now), and keep meticulous records (anyone use filemaker 6? I have a kickass database to keep it all organized). 

How many of you clean your games upon purchase? I go over the whole thing with rubbing alcohol (q-tipping in the cart's exterior raised parts and thumb-hole (for lack of a better description)) and then work on the chip. 

modified NES (cut the lockout chip, switched out my 72 pin connector and have it mounted on 1/8" plexi whilst I test glue for my uber case project) but I haven't broken out the solder gun yet. yet. again, am I nutz?

I'm interested in the home brews, ported a ton of famicom to NES myself using a blackbox-cart 60-72 converter, photoshop and some nice sticky photo paper (it really looks great when it's done), but that's as far as I've come.

OH! and been messing around with creating real 8-bit music, using ppmck (bash shell on mac) I've written real 8-bit music. screw you, emulators, the old write and compile way is the only way to go.

anyway, it's nice to see I'm not insane about the NES. well, not AS insane.
