Whoa man calm down already.

1st, that guy has 100% Positive feedback with 1476 ratings. That's not a scam artist, that's a good seller. If you want to boycott him that's fine, but don't go harassing him with emails either. That's disrespectful.

2nd, those look like legit seals to me, but I am by no means a sealed expert. I've always thought the horizontal line was the key? The wear on the Zelda LttP does look highly suspicious, and that should be enough to clue in any sealed collector.

If you are a sealed collector or a prototype collector, then you have to be weary of fakes. How do you know the seller isn't just ignorant? You know not everyone who resells is an expert, and it could be possible that these games were passed off to him and he actually believes they are fact sealed.

Either way I don't know and don't care quite frankly, but this guy has proven feedback to show that he's reputable.

It's a little weird to come in here screaming bloody murder about this guy and not even state the reasons you think his auctions look off.

How about some calm, rational explanation followed by thoughtful discussion?

Exactly my thoughts, the original post seemed very bitter rather than explaining anything...

Two things to say

1 darksol is a long time collector just not a member here long.

2 Those ARE reseals and not very good ones at that.  Wear on flap + funny looking seal = fake and as far as Gamecube games go there was no horizonal seam. They had the folded flaps on top just like ps2 games

1. I know he's a long-time collector, I saw his post when he joined. If I remember right he's into Anime and Sega more so than Nintendo.

2. Well if the seller is selling reseals, maybe you could notify him like "Hi, I'm a huge sealed collector and the games you are selling are not factory sealed. Could you please revise your listing to state they are reseals?" And then if the seller disputes it, you can list reasons why they are fakes. At least give the man an honest chance to be "in the know", because he could just be ignorant and really think they are in fact factory sealed.

If I was a seller and a buyer messaged me telling me I was going to jail and that he will keep reporting my crap, I'd be really pissed to. There's a good and a bad way to approach a situation...

Also "going to jail" for selling reseals? That's a little overly dramatic, don't you think?

I'm not trying to say that darksol is wrong in any way. What I'm saying is that for those of us that don't collect sealed stuff, ranting and raving like a lunatic doesn't help anything.

If you're going to out the guy for having reseals in his store, an explanation (like Buyatari just provided) and some things to look out for is infinitely more helpful to everyone than a bunch of obscenities.

Also, being a longtime collector doesn't necessarily make you "right".

the shrink wrap and the seal line on a link to the past looks good to me but there is no way the end flap would have those white crease lines on it if it was truely sealed. so im thinking it is a reseal.

There would have been a nicer approach to this, but either way darksol seems to be right, even though like Jonebone said, this guy has good feedback. I bought something with over 1000 feedback one time though, and right after I bought it he deleted his account and I got the wrong item. So, (even though it's a far fetched idea )this could be the guys last attempt at trying to get some cash before he runs away

Such people do not deserve a "nicer approach". They must be banned completely from ebay. And avoided at all cost.
I must also tell that worst scambags always have close to 100% feedback. They are not stupid and are good at what they are doing.

Sealed collecting is a an expensive habit and serious business. I am completely infuriated when i see such things.
I lost many $ on reseals and i am very educated now and try to educate others.
His perfect feedback only means he is extremely good at his job.
Look at that Gamecube game. This is complete RIPOFF and it got sold! Amazing.
And i won't be surprised if that zelda will sell to some noob. This i am trying to prevent.
Report the bastard.

He even put some random Kay-Bee sticker on it! What a filthy SOAB! The price on the sticker is colored with black marker. I won't be surprised if it's 0.99$ for condoms..

They are an actual toy store (well went out of business last month) They used to sell stuff like that and if I remember correctly had a shrink wrap machine. They always put boxes out without the games, before they put them behind the counter.

what a douche. Those are pathetic reseals.

Good call Darksol. People lose a lot of money to assholes likes this.

Try not to make Arseface and jonebone (Nanny Police) angry when you report OBVIOUS scammers on ebay please. They might try and teach you a lesson.

After looking at this, my conclusion on the Zelda is that it's a good forgery. I won't say how I know, lest the people doing the forgery catch on and fix those mistakes.

If it was so obvious, did we need a thread?  Doesn't seem that "obvious" to me since the seam looked legit.

Of course we didn't need a thread, but Darksol was good to start one to inform those that are new to sealed collecting so they don't make a horrible mistake.

I thought about posting it in another thread, but decided to make a separate one.
The main purpose of this thread is to attract attention to this dude and get more people to report his ass to ebay. Fraud must be stopped. The more people see it - the better.

There are more resealing idiots on ebay. Leatherbyvincent, kenjikazama\fanelia11, a very professional resealer who ripped many people for thousands dollars i guess, and even Dr Brinn, who sold me 200$ worth reseals and never cared about refunding. He's still hiding from me (i am still trying to guess if he reselaed em himself).

Reseals tend to of be two types. When a seller don't know that he's selling reseals. Maybe he got em at a store where they shrinkwrapped games and he does not know and does not really care about it...
And second type are people who shrinkwrap stuff themselves, fool people, intentionally trying to fake seams and so on. These bastards must be annihilated.
