I recently acquired El Tigre for the PS2 and decided I had to give it a whirl. I had been wanting to play the game because I had heard it was an interesting platformer, but there's no videos of gameplay on YouTube, just the DS version. Well, I am glad I did, because this is one good, and HARD game. There is a kill counter that tracks how many times you have died on each level. I finally beat level one after about half an hour, after dieing over 130 times. The game is mostly running from left to right, jumping over obstacles and hopping around over enemies using double and triple jumps. There are some very hard obstacles in level 1 (haven't played any further yet) that reminded me a lot of Battle Kid where you just keep dieing over and over until you perfect the pattern required. Anyways, was only a $1.00 and well worth it in my opinion. Gives me that constant hope that I'll keep finding gems even on newer systems!!
