As I have searched, there seems to be only about 2 mods to my knowledge, the 50/60 CPU switch, and play SFC games on NTSC SNES.

Are there any "cool/show off" type mods out there? the ones i found are...very dull.

Well anything cool can be done to anything, but the 2 mods you mention above are for a purpose (i.e. to make the SNES do things it wasn't originally meant to do).

You could add led's, spray it, cut out sections........., the possibilities are endless.
I did see a nicely modded snes a while back which had its cartridge slot modded to look like the Wii's; it had a perspex panel and a blue led lighting it up, so the whole of the cartridge slot was blue.

Yes I know those mod's are for a purpose, although there nothing special. =\ Heh, I'll stick to painting mine since there really isn't that much that you can do.

If you own a PAL Snes you could mod the controller ports so that they accept NTSC controllers also.. going to do this within a week or so.

I'm 99% sure my PAL SNES's already do this, I'll check later

Mine doesn't and I've heard about different versions that could work out of the box. Well it's a simple resistor fix..
