As i was drifting off to sleep last night i had  what i thought was a great idea for the site. For each game in the database it would be cool if there was a button or something where you could flag that you want this title, or have this title for sale/trade. That way if someone is looking to buy a certain game, they could look it up in the database and see who has the game flagged for sale. On the reverse, i have some commons i'd like to sell/trade, but i dont want to make a post advertising games im sure many already have, but if i could flag the duplicates i have, someone cruising around could more easily find a game they want of mine instead of digging through threads.

Im not an internet wizard, but it doesnt seem like this feature would be too difficult to implement.
I'd even help put it into place if i had to. i think this would make finding games you want a lot easier. Not to say it should replace threads of that nature, but i think it would be cool.

Thoughts gentlemen?

If that is something that is implementable, that sounds cool as hell!

This was one of my favorite features on RFgeneration, and it would be awesome if we had it here.

Yep, definitely in the works. It's a portion that integrates with the collection tool, using a mix of ideas from GameTZ, Amazon and RFGen.

It's been underway since I joined the site, shortly after NA was made public...so come on already! WE WANT OUR COLLECTION TOOL!

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

That's awesome. I love GameTZ, it would be great to have that feature here.

Herbalist, that's exactly what gametz.com is, you may want to check it out, it's awesome for building the collection.

I definitely enjoy the Gametz system. I have my collection organized there. I would keep track here more though because I don't frequent GTZ much these days. Too many new gen gamers. For the last time, I don't have an XBOX!

I belong to a comic collecting site that has precisely the same tool in place. It's pretty damn awesome.
