One thing I noticed is that on earlier firmware, only FDS games had artifacts when the everdrive N8 is used with the AVS. One example is Akumajou Dracula where the FDS version had yellow artifacts during the intro and some black artifacts in other places like on the walls in the first stage. This didn't affect Castlevania or the rom version on earlier firmware, but on firmware after beta 5, it's the rom versions that have the artifacts with the FDS version having none.
