also been said a billion times but people who put best offer on an item and decline everything. Listing is 7 plus shipping. Offered 6. Declined. Not even an auto decline. They just flat out declined it and messaged them to say maybe they shouldnt put best offer on their listing if they wont even take a dollar off. There was multiple quantity. Got a very smart ass response with an lol and theyd consider it. What a dipshit.
It's all a game. I've talked to people already and I get the impression they just want to see what stupid offers people come up with so the can laugh at them.
I mentioned this a month ago, but for small-time sellers, eBay is doing a batch of "free BIN" listings right now ONLY if you also have a "best offer" option.
That is almost certainly why so many best offer listings currently exist for items that don't justify them.
I listed a few items during free BIN offer, but still got charged on the sale. It has been many years since I have sold in E-bay. So, do you get hit by a fee to list and on the sale? I don’t remember that before. Then I also get hit by paypal on the sale. So after shipping and ebay/paypal fees I broke even on the sale. I might as well just throw the remaining comics away. It would be better than getting a claim and losing money.
I meant free-to-list.
BIN classically has a $0.25 or $0.30 "insertion fee" when there isn't an auction.
When I didn't have the Best Offer option selected, it wanted to charge insertion fees for BINs that didn't also have an auction component.
That said, it does seem like eBay started giving me direct links where if a BIN was clicked it would negate all fees.
Most of my stuff I've posted lately I've gone back to charging actuals for shipping, so at least I'm not losing money there.
