They're certainly different from looking at an NES game. I still remember getting a Dragon Quest III in the mail, my first Famicom game, and opening the box to see the cartridge. My first thought was that it'd likely fit in a Sega Genesis (as Famicom and Genesis carts are similar in size and shape) with some slight modification. My second thought was something like "Why are carts in most of the rest of the world so much larger?" It's a unique experience, seeing a Famicom cart after 18-20 years of looking at American NES games...
