THE GRIND - LE AUCTION

Read everything before posting.

Auction ends exactly one week (7 days) from the original post date.  Auction will be extended 3 minutes from the original posted end time if there is bidding activity within the last three minutes. If there are any further bids during this extended period, the auction will be extended a further three minutes. This process will continue until three minutes elapses between bids.

You only get to make ONE BID.  That's it, this is your only bid.  I'm stealing this format from KHAN, I like it.

With The Grind LE, you will receive:
-CD Style Box
-Manual
-Custom TENGEN Cart
-Various Inserts
-Back Story/Graphic Novel
-Wooden LE Box with Various Bead Art

This is for 3 LE copies.  You are only bidding on one copy, top 3 bids will win.

I only ship on the weekends or Monday morning, so no bitching about it taking a long time.

Note that:
-Only one copy per person.
-You can only pay for and/or reserve your own copy.
-Obviously, if you don't make payment arrangements pronto (as determined by me), you forefit your spot!
-Must be a NA member before this thread was posted to be able to purchase.
-All of these were made from doners, none of the carts are perfect.  Most are far from.

A good chunk of the proceeds will be donated to NA, so if you feel like including any extra with your payment, I'll pass it on at the end.

The Grind Dev Thread:

The Grind Game Play:

The Grind Release Video:

RULES:
1.  You only get to make ONE BID.  That's it, this is your only bid.
2.  Each of the top 3 bidders will receive one LE copy.
3.  US shipping is included in your bid.  Others will pay exact priority shipping.
4.  Top 3 will be able to pick their number at the close of the auction from the remaining numbers.
5.  No edits or retractions.
ADDED:  6.  Putting in a $5 difference between your bid and the next lowest for obvious reasons.

Bidding starts at $125 for each copy.

Go.

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me through this process!  You all rock!

Top Bidders:

NeoZanac - $400

RpgCollector - $360

Colorado Rockie - $250

solegooseproductions - $227

Mr.Nintendo - $175

pats1717 - $125

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.

I've had several questions about this, so I'll go ahead and answer. Most of them went to people like Zi (for the music), Dain (cause...he's Dain), myself, someone who's done an insane amount to help my collection over the years, etc.

I may do a contest or two or something depending on interest, but these will likely be the only ones that are available.

Naaa... don't be sad... I'm sure there is plenty of interest.

The issue is there are only 3 LEs available so putting in your only bid now makes it very easy for you to get bumped from the list unless you drop down a very large sum of money (and even then, no guarantee).

This will most likely come down to the last day (or even last minute) and there will be a huge rush of bids that will get all confused and jumbled.  If that happens, it will be difficult to cut the auction off, I imagine.

You will definately get bids, but people are trying to be smart about how they bid within the constraints of the auction rules.

Yeah, everyone likes Khan's auction style, but we all saw what happened: people bid up front and everyone got bumped. I waited to get a feel for what I thought it might sell for, then bid last day. I imagine you'll get a lot of nice bids... on the last day!

I just don't see the "one bid only" auctions going like they did the first time. Everyone is cubbied up in their little hidey hole waiting for someone to walk by so they can snipe them.

Aside from the getting bumped, the other big difference was that there were MANY more LEs up for grabs, so even if you were at risk of getting bumped, it wasn't for certain and was more exciting.  Not saying 3 LEs isn't good enough or anything, just pointing out that it makes any bid much more risky, especially this far out.

This is going to be interesting. Also, I agree that the last minute(s) will be quite hectic so I'm worried about the initial statement of "I might extend it if someone decides to snipe." How will you determine this? I was under the impression that once bids were made, we couldn't extend the auction. Very cool LE though and I'm sure will get tons of attention

I will extend as necessary to make peeps happy, until there's a winner(s).  This is why I added the minimum bid increase yesterday.  A lot of this will be donated to NA...so bid high!!  Thanks for the interest!!

As much as I'd like to go beyond this, I'll prematurely shoot my wad at $227. Yeah, I'll be outbid, but at least I was up there for a moment I could uh been a contender... (cue Al Pacino, or whoever that was, voice)

I like to think of it as a sleeper sniper bid. Just keep bidding $200 everyone .
