anyway i was wondering about killing the snake part of the level 6 boss it's not really a threat but would it be alright to try doing that

I popped it in this morning, and came to the realization I do not think I have ever played it, just contra. all these years lol.
Well i did terrible first few times, finally got pretty far once I realized the "R" drops were not rocket but rapid -_- it opeend up the world for me lol i was avoiding everything except S.

I got to some eggs and face huggers, then died, and then couldnt get past them with my finger mashing ability and starter gun. I died rest of my lifes trying to escape them

Totally okay to kill the snake at Boss 6.

Once the contest is over perhaps some brave soul could post a no death run? Would be cool to see.  

Is it possible to pause the game when it's showing the score between levels?

It doesn't matter unless you complete two loops.

If you complete two loops then you have to be quick to get a picture of your score as it appears after the end credits. Or you can record a short video in order to get a picture of your score that way.

The only way to pause between levels involves playing on an emulator.
 

I'm hoping I can give it go. My personal best was 8 no death loops before I stopped playing out of boredom since I think the difficulty maxes out after the third loop. Unfortunately, personal issues have kept me away from home the last few weeks so I don't even have a way to play right now. I'm not sure if Luke no deathed both loops but I assumed he did since he went ahead and posted his score.
