Yeah for real.  Some beat N64 games, a player's choice F-Zero, and a "high grade" Final Fight and MGS, both of which were available by the cases.  Can't wait to watch people overpay yet again.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Any guesses what the Mega Man 1 first print WATA 9.4 will fetch in the Heritage signature auction this November? Anyone know how many of these first prints exist (sealed)?

Pretty sure it’s just this 1.

I think between $30-$40k is prob about right. Maybe $50k if everything lines up.

I 100% disagree with selling an item like this via any auction house. This had private sale written all over it. Not really sure what the thought process was there.

Ah a sealed grail is worth about one and a half beat matte sticker CIB Mario's. Gotta love this silliness of this market.

Sure but an item like this isn’t getting top dollar at auction, it’s just not. Visibility isn’t needed for a game like this to sell. I assume there’s a very large reserve on this, and if not, this selling for anything less than say $75k will not be a great sign of where we are. This is easily on par with the gloss SMB.

I for one hope it goes bananas and ends at over $100k so we can stop talking about matte SMB’s for two friggin seconds. There are so many cooler things out there and far more rare. This is one of them.

To be fair, it's not much fun to talk about something there's one of once an auction is over. Whomever bids the most will have it and that will be that, discussion over.

Any reason MTPO went for $2.6k or just one of those inexplicable things in the world?

CIB rev-a 7.5 at that.  What would a sealed 7.5 be worth if this is the CIB price...

Talking about completed, just noticed HA and Wata screwed up on that Final Fantasy Adventure too, sigh. Listed as Square and clearly the Sunsoft reprint which is dirt cheap and like a Majesco re-release on SNES.

Just seen that 1942 6.0 with a seal rating of NS. New but no shrink wrap. So is Wata is saying the hinge has never been opened? Seller may have sent a partially wrapped game?

It's gotta be the hinge. I think it was Bronty who mentioned it before (could be wrong) but even opened once the hinge will have pretty obvious stress creases.

There's a word for sealed games with no seal, it's called complete (in box). I think they're really trying to invent a niche market that doesn't really exist there, but to each their own. Why not create a section for carts that were "never inserted", as I'm sure you could use magnification to do some testing there. I would see more appeal in "unused" carts for cart collecting than unsealed games in sealed collecting. The carts would be a true "collectible" (if you have a slabbed cart then you aren't playing it anyway), and a unsealed "sealed" game is just a placeholder because someone couldn't afford or couldn't find a real sealed copy of that game.

There are examples of new games that never came with a seal, a few of which I own, to include Earthbound, and certainly Gyromite and Duck Hunt that we're included in the deluxe set. Like sticker seals, with no sticker....but I do agree, they are somewhat rare an uncommon. Very easy to tell however.
