If anyone is causing a real problem, I think the mods can feel confortable PMing that user and ask them to stop, or they will be removed from the site for good.  We shouldn't judge people based on age either, Pete is 35 and he might be the biggest d-bag on the site...........but I must thank him because he is the reason why I strive to improve my collection and my knowledge, almost all of which has been learned on this amazing site! So thanks to the guys and girls who make this site work and everyone for adding their info and experiences.  You have to take the little bit of bad with all the good on here! Cheers to NA!

Given how some users posts nowadays, you may consider this sucking the fun out of NA, but I along with many of the mods consider this to be setting boundaries to prevent needless posting.

I agree with what some of the other guys said sometimes you have to take a little bad with the good. all the people i have dealt with so far have been great guys and i expect that most of the people i deal with in the future will be as well. i'm sure there will still be plenty of fun to be had !!

Lets not jump the gun on this guys. I'm sure we will all still joke around and have fun. I believe Paul is referring to when it becomes excessive and doesn't do anything to further a topic.

This might get NA back to its hayday when threads had a point and usually grown into a decent discussion. Sucks that nowadays you almost always have to start a private topic or PM someone when you have a legit question or subject that could spark some decent discussion. Hope this turns out to be a positive move for the site.

I think it should be clarified that posting dislike or disagreement, if it's part of the discussion is NOT thread crapping, it's offering a counterpoint.

Otherwise, you just have a bunch of vanilla sycophantic circle-jerks where everybody slaps each other on the back about how much they agree and how awesome their opinion is...


That said, polluting countless threads with "in before the lock", "cool story bro", "cool starry bra", etc is out of line and I agree that it should be stopped.

Yea, definitely, but even then you can be threadcrapping if your entire post is "disagree".

However, if it's something alone the lines of "I disagree, and here's why: yadda yadda", then great!  We've got a conversation going.  Then the countdown begins to how long until it's two sides yelling at each other.
