Hey all, as you know the 2012 NA camp out is quickly approaching.

I myself hope to make it there, and meet all the great people that I have met on this site, in real life!
There will be alot of great people, and great times, and i'm sure if you choose to go you'll have a great time.

But on the note of it approaching soon, i feel I need to start making plans, atleast on how i'm getting there.
It has been rumored that a great canadian member, infact the NA canadian president, will be renting a large "bus", for himself and a few select members to drive down to the campout. Even if i am opted in on this journey with him, i would still need to take a plane to get to where the bus leaves from. This would be my first time flying, ever.  I'm not nervous about it but it will be something different from the usual wheel machines i am used to riding.

If i am not in this group that goes with the prez, i would be flying all the way to TN, USA, myself. The closest airport to where the campout is, is in nashville. i'd still need to get from there to the town campout is in.

My real reason for the thread i guess, is what are your plans on getting there? how are you traveling? where are you staying? what do you plan on eating and/or where??


It being my first time in America, I'd really like to try at least 3 American food joints (I hear American beef is way diff than Canadian!). But whatever is happening at pauls, will be fine by me!

Tai, I live about 15 minutes from the airport, so as long as we schedule it, I can pickup you from the airport without an issue.

If accepted into the roster... I plan on putting a saddle on remedylane, and riding him to CO, like a majestic steed. I have heard that 1st impressions are very important. I believe that it's all about a magical entrance. Did I mention it will be magical?.......magic.

If you're lucky you might get the official airport welcome squad. a flightless bird and a Tennesseean' with a crazy accent!

Food Moes Pizza!!!!!! I will make my best effort to be there as this year I will be driving from texas ..if I dont get distracted by truck stop lot lizzards ..I should make it in 10- 11 hours

I plan on driving. My journey will be mostly I-40 East and I have room for 3 more people so if you are anywhere near my path and want to ride, send me a PM.

I have driven the last two years, that 17 hour drive sucks ass! I'm flying for sure this year.

I m definitely attending this year. I'm only about 4 hours away. Hoping that one of my long-time Zelda speedrunning buds can come too, he thinks he can.

I'll be coming by bus, I'm still a pretty new driver.

Am I the only west coaster even interested in going?

I wish I could make plans for campout. But it all depends on my work schedual. I'll have a better idea come March or so. If it falls on my days off, I'm definitely in to join pete and his magical school bus. If I can't, then I guess I'm shit out of luck

My buddy has been asking me about it, so he may come with me. There is a chance I will be out if the country for work at that time though. If I'm not though, you can count me in for sure again this year.

bigjt_2 should be picking me up again like last year in the good 'ol Prius. We were complete strangers when he picked me up, and we arrived at the campout as NA buddies. 4 hour trip for me, 6 hr trip for him. Those were good times and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Depending on my work schedule, I may be able to come down for this and meet all the other NA'ers. I'd be coming from WV and would have room in the car.
