Two times I scored over 30K and two times I missed the picture, IT's okay it still haven't got my participation from 1943 anyways.

Loved the game choice this week, what a fun game

I'm so obsessed with beating Battletoads that I only put in the laziest last day effort for Adventure Island 2. Let's hear it for participation points.

Whoa, I knew that I have some chances to be in the top 8, but never expected to win.
After my last update I still was almost sure that some users will post scores over 450'000.

Yeah if I had had time for one more run I'm certain I would of had 450,000. Probably my one shot at a weekly title and I put it off too long!

The game being so damn long is what really had me give up after awhile.........I couldn't spend anymore time playing a game I didn't really want to play, that is just stupid to even think of, it is fun but not "that" fun.

Started playing Dragon Warrior III and had way more fun.

And I couldn't be bothered to keep killing myself to rack on points on the few stages that I knew were the bonus area was.
Game feels just too long, so I went to beat it dying the least amount of times.

What about when you were at 8 or 9 lives and you knew a wasted 1UP was approaching?  That was a cornerstone strategy for me; trying to figure out the most effective levels to suicide on.

Plus suiciding on bosses was a good way to pick up extra levels that were skipped

Oh, and maybe someone else can verify this, but my current theory for the egg wheel is that the 2,000 or a 1UP is in a set spot until you hit it.  Then it resets and the cycle continues.  I'm also fairly certain 200 indicates you are closer to that egg than 100 is.  Not sure about 50 as I didn't appear to get any that run.

I only had half a game's sample size to work that theory, but it seemed pretty sound.  Or at least I never ended up going around the horn and disproving it.
