I'm registered, you've got my ten bucks!

I'm not even certain that I'll be at the expo. I would like to be if at all possible. Most likely I'll be there. Looks fun.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia!

I suggest about 2 hours after the start of the show. Early enough that people haven't left yet, late enough to ensure they've gotten a chance to browse the tables and snag their bargains there.

But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

I'll be putting in for a day off from work, myself...heck, I may put in for 3 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). I'll try to talk my fiancee into going, as well. Though she isn't much of a gamer-type, her system of choice is the NES . This will probably be as close as I get to a CGE or something of that level, so I'll be there with probably a good bit of cash and a few games to spare, tucked into the cargo pockets of whatever shorts I'll be wearing (it's early September, so it'll probably be around 90-95°F (that's 32-35°C for you international types) that day unless it's during a hot spell (during which it could be 110°F/43°C or more, depending on a few different factors, including the urban heat island effect), or during a storm).

Note to self: Give Basil a shopping list and some money.

Oh, um, NA moderators are required to attend (hey, if that works, then I don't feel guilty!)

You really want the expo overrun with old Italians?  Nah, better to send Basil with a shopping list
