Looks great. I'd suggest using FlashROM so you can save the tombstones and names. Though battery+SRAM would be easier if you're developing with an emulator.

I can't believe I haven't posted in here yet. This is the homebrew I'm most excited about (well besides BK ). If you need ANYTHING from me to help get this released, please let me know!

i think there were 3 different versions of hunting, which one are you going with? after all, hunting IS the game.

I used to start the game and as soon as I got out I started hunting. How about utilizing the zapper for hunting? . That would be the ultimate game.

What were the 3 methods again, do you mean gun types? There was pistol, rifle, shotgun I believe.

I'm trying to stick to the apple 2e version as much as possible. so hunting will most likely be a close as I can make it to that.

there was one that was text only, and 1 where you had to rotate, take baby steps and shoot (rabbits being the hardest), and one other version

The third version, you just used the mouse courser as a cross hair and shot stuff.

The one I've been working off, is just the guy turning his gun and shooting at animals that run by.

This is awesome! I remember having to hunt for food drove me nuts(especially with the keyboard controls), hopefully the NES version will play better in that department! =)
