Analogue has recently trademarked a console called Analogue 8. I would maybe wait to see if that plays NES games.

The Analogue Nt has not yet been discontinued, and when asked why, they have said that we have to wait and see, and that they would love to make it available once again. I have emailed them myself and gotten a similar reply.

Like the above poster pointed out, it very much looks like they are preparing for a cheaper version, akin to the Super Nt and Mega Sg. The recent trademarks filed also point in that direction.

My bet is it will be available soon, and that it will be a total waste of money to throw it at an overpriced, used system now. They are well aware that they have a large customer base who bought both the Super Nt and Mega Sg, and would LOVE to get their hands on an NES FPGA system. They're smart, they'll deliver. Hold out.

Indeed! It's the perfect 8-bit system solution. I bet it will be jailbroken, just as every Analogue systems before it. ๐Ÿ˜„

Because you can play virtually every 8bit game ever made ,with the “Jailbreak “firmware ..And the console itself is extremely durable..
