I've never played a 3-D Mario platformer, so I opted to grab this title instead when they both came out.  I really enjoy it...the first night my girlfriend and I were up until 3:00 AM playing the game; it was a total blast.  The only problem I had was that the boss battles were a bit easy throughout the entire game, but other than that it gets a great review from me.  I can't wait to try it out while using the Wii Zapper.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on the game?

Oh, I also found a few entertaining grammatical errors (Well, they're probably not that entertaining but when I find errors in games, movies and books it always entertains me)

Im gonna have to rent this to play with my zapper, which rules btw.

Play alone, boss battles are a pain in the ass, insane difficulty (I play on normal btw)

i heard that it sucks with the zapper cause of A button timed hits, is this true?

yes.... it sucked with the zapper. At times you have to shake the remote to dodge but I found it quite difficult to shake the whole gun fast enough to get it to work. And yes you do have to hit the A button on occassions and it is a pain in the ass and half the time you dont get to the button in time. I also tried the game with Resident evil 4 and it was even worse... Zapper is worthless

My big fat hands are way to big for that little zapper, and I haven't even played with it yet just took it out of the box last night.

My cousin bought this so I spent some time playing co-op with him on the weekend.  Pretty fun stuff.  Reminds me a lot of House of the Dead of course.  The Zapper, yeah I can do without for this game at least.  I was doing much better without it. 
My cousin swears the graphix rulez! on this game, but I say they are not as good as RE4, and even the cut scenes (which he was practically jerking off over) look as though they could have been done on Cube.  Mind you I could care less about graphics, just thought it was interesting that he and I were in such disagreement about their relative quality. 

I'm going to be all over this game. On other forums I read a lot of people saying stuff like "yeah I wanted it, then I found out it was on-rails." I'm like "Yeah, I wasn't that interested, then I realized that it on-frigging-rails, and then I needed to change my pants!" Resident Evil Universe + House of the Dead gameplay = game of the year, every year, forever.

D4RK M4R10 because you say it nicely i will not flame you for liking it better. I still think galaxy is the best mario game imo (excludes rpg series though) and is a new re invention of the platformer.
