The ups and downs to auctions, last time i lost an ebay auction i woke up my wife and damaged my laptop. But i really wanted the item and i lagged when i was about to bid

Don't feel bad. Like I said, I would've just went higher. This way worked out better for me because it didn't cost me as much, but definitely hurt Doug's bottom line. But, he's still doing pretty good on these with avoiding eBay fees and all.

I agree. Also, that Stadium Events definitely set some new records even at the first bid...and there was three bidders on it! (Me included)

If I did an auction on here, I would make the end time extend by an hour after every bid near end time, that way everyone can get their bids in in a reasonable way... The way the auctions are done on here seems pretty silly and causes the seller to leave a lot of money on the table, imo.

Ok enough discussion about how Doug should do his auctions. The beauty of them being HIS auctions is he can do them however he wants to.

I'm sure Doug's not complaining about what some of these brought.

Yes, definitely up to Doug, but an hour after each bid? Way too long.

My vote would be 1 minute of potential added to each auction that gets a bid in the last minute. This is a forum of collectors, we are expert auction watchers - 1 min should be no problemo. If you care, you're here watching it.

i like to add sniper protection to auctions, but at the same time you can end up paying alot more than you want to if the auction doesn't have a defined 100% end. either way its up to whoever the seller is! in the end he still has alot of sales from this, could have gotten more but thats what an auctions about! grats to the winners!
