Hey everyone!  This week's game is going to be a Black Box classic, Excitebike.  Here are the rules:

  • Play on Mode A
  • Do all five qualifying runs. You can choose each one when you start a game.
  • Post pictures of all five runs
  • Add the times together from all five runs to get your overall time
  • Lowest overall time wins

The contest ends Sunday, 5/20/12 at 10 PM NA time.  Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  Good luck everyone and have fun!

This is going to be it for me, not even sure the one participation point was worth the time it took to reset the levels, take the pictures, load them up and do the math. I spend more time doing the legwork than I did playing/practicing the racing. Ended up giving up since it was taking so long. I still don't think my math is right. Having to add at a 60 clock instead of 100 is screwing it all up.
O'well...

All my times were first tries at the races i want to try a few more times and see if i can lower my time a little but this is a start

gotta have love for excitebike. when this came out it made the nes look like nothing you ever saw before on a home videogame. and we didnt even get to save our custom courses in the USA . that design mode was as much fun as the game itself. this game is the essence of black box goodness

I've had kind of a rough week and I totally forgot about it. Excitebike was one of my favorite NES games as a kid and I may have actually had a decent shot at winning this one.
