Nice on the Gyromite. That was a good pickup. The Mach Rider was maybe a 6-7/10. Not nearly as nice as that Gyromite, but still a steal.

Thanks dudes... I'm seriously stoked about everything in that last post.
MRN- Bummer that the Mach Rider wasn't in better condition... But like you said, at least it was still a total steal.

So there I was. I just got my new futon frame put down in my living room, and I'm totally exhausted since I had to carry it myself. I plopped myself down on the futon, and it was so damn nice, I didn't want to get up.

I had worked up a mighty thirst, so I filled up my mug with Safeway brand "Dr. Skipper" and grabbed my laptop. I whipped it open, and surfed around NA for a few minutes. I figured I might as well check my email- That's when I saw the reply to my Kijiji 'Wanted' ad.

I immediately threw up this thread:
http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess...

So, I'm driving to the house, just thinking how epic this could be if she's not full of shit. She must be full of shit, I thought... there's no way she has all of those games complete. And even if she does, they've gotta be in terrible condition if she only wants $5 each for them. But even if they're trashed, they're still a great deal...

I knock on the door, and a lady in her mid thirties opens the door. I noticed immediately that she was a non-smoker, and her house is in nicely kept shape... things were looking up. I followed her into her kitchen, and she pulled a large cardboard box onto the table. She was saying something like 'These are all Super Nintendo games', but I was too busy looking at the games to hear a word she said.

Then she said to me "I don't need this old junk anymore, I have a Wii!". I could hardly contain my laughter.

'How much for the whole box of games?' I ask.
'Umm... I was thinking $100' she says.
'How about $80?' I counter.
Then the magic words happen:
'You've got yourself a deal.'

Here's what was in very box.

Minty Earthbound Cart:

CIB SNES Games:
Illusion of Gaia - Mint
Final Fantasy 3 - Mint
Secret of Mana - Mint
Breath of Fire 2 - Near mint, one small crease on side of box
Ultima False Prophet - Mint
Lufia 2 - Mint
Robotrek - Near Mint
Breath of Fire - Mint
Secret of Evermore - Mint
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest - Mint
Pocky and Rocky - Stickers on box, I'd say it's at least an 8 otherwise.
Brain Lord - Near Mint

CIB SNES Games:
Chrono Trigger - Mint
Super Mario RPG - Mint
New Horizons - Mint
Equinox - Sticker on box
DKC 2 - Mint
SimCity - Mint
Loz: Link to the Past - Mint

And Loz: OoT: Gold Collector's Edition CIB - Near Mint

Here's a closeup of OoT, since it's not so shiny in the last pic:

Plus there was a few guides:

LoZ: OoT Guide
Super Mario RPG Guide
Brain Lord Guide

All in all, probably the best find I've ever had. It's been a good day!

Yeah one of the better finds I've seen in awhile that's for sure... but you still had to ask how much to pay in the Price Check forum, lol. Now you have the dilemma of selling these and making quite a hefty profit or starting a Minty CIB SNES collection. If it were me, I'd keep at least half and sell some others.

If they were all mine I would keep them.....he's in them REAL cheap obviously.....and later on if he decides to go for SNES CIB collecting then he'd have some of the tougher games already nailed down for damn cheap.

Thanks everyone! I was assuming that I'd wake up this morning, and it would all be a dream... But I'm holding Earthbound in my hand as I type, so I guess it's for reals!

Honestly though, I wouldn't have asked $80 if she hadn't just called it 'junk' one second earlier. I figured, if she thinks it's junk, she must just want it out of her house. I'm still completely blown away that she had no idea of the value on this stuff... I mean, she was internet-savvy enough to find my "wanted" ad on the 7th page of Kijiji, (That's right, it was a Wanted ad I posted almost a month ago) but somehow, she doesn't know about Ebay. People are crazy!

As for keeping/selling, I am definitely keeping these, for now at least. Up to this point, I've been a cart only kind of guy... but I REALLY like the looks of these minty CIB's. Plus, I already had a loose Super Mario RPG that I got on the cheap, so selling that should make up a decent chunk of my cost.

I'm tellin' ya, people... have a giveaway, and Karma will shine on you.

I love best-find posts where you make your money back with the first game pictured Good job.

You also happened to find the one mommy who probably paid full price for every one of these back in the day for various birthdays/Xmasses and doesn't want all her money back on the get-out.
