I'll probably give this another shot before it ends tonight. I got over 400,000 points last night, but it was in the dark and I didn't have my name tag or camera handy

What a great turn out for the new season for the contests and there is still one day to go!
Can't wait to see who emerges this year victorious.

I really missed these. Great job as usual!

You might bring home the win this week as long as you don't get too distracted watching the Daytona 500.

So I couldn't leave well enough alone and tried another attempt....and failed. Seems like world 4 is where I screw up.

I just cannot get used to the damn jumping controls. I need tight controls like in the Mega Man games, not this slip slidey, loosey goosey stuff.

All time classic game, but man these controls are frustrating. Oh well,on to Tetris to claim my PPs there as well.

He really goes above and beyond with the effort that he puts into them. I can't give him enough credit for how awesome they are.

I swear that I must be so used to the controls that I don't even notice anything being off about them. Maybe I've played too much Ice Climber to the point that it's my standard for slippery controls. Then again, it's on ice so I guess it's supposed to be slippery.

Well I did end up picking up more than half the games listed for this contest. So there's maybe a participation icon in my future???

I guess when I was playing it as a kid,I didn't mind the controls because I wasn't playing for high score and definitely not in a competition. If I died,whatever...I have a bunch of lives and if I lose them all,I'll just use the infinite continues to muscle through the game.

I used to be pretty decent at the turtle tipping trick on 3-1 but I could never pull it off this week. Of course I didn't practice it at all. Trying to refrain from practicing on emulators, looking up any info on gamefaqs, and watching any YouTube videos, etc so I can recreate (as close as I can) competing as if it were 1985.

I'm pretty sure that there's a guaranteed way to do it, but this is a spoiler free zone.

I been watching nascar with my dad since I can remember. Bill Elliott has always been my favorite. His son qualified on the pole, maybe he can win it too. I'm really a Joey Logano fan now though. The 500 is an awesome race. I've been to the 400 numerous times but never the 500.

Got me on a nascar rant

I started out as a Rusty Wallace fan. When he retired, it was Kurt Busch and now Brad Keselowski. Basically I stick with whoever's driving the #2 Team Penske car.

I have the same issue.  Its just too disheartening to get to 3-1, flub it, and know that I may as well just start over at that point
