Based on your acclaim for the game, we'll assume you meant to say that the game is TITS. Balls being the negative. lol The game does look fun though. Good job Roth

I also was able to test this masterpiece at the family reunion and this game is a completely different beast than Battle Kid. Much less of a "death toll" feel, unless you play with Roth watching you drinking PBR. Then it is very death tolly. Haha

The one thing I can say is that this doesn't feel like a homebrew. It is weird to think about but just let that sit in while you wait for the release....

Oh and Dain I figured out the Pitfall 2 reference from the weekend. The music transition is the same 2 notes in this as Pitfall 2.

This game looks really fun and interesting. I would def get a copy when it comes out. Keep me posted on the release if you end up doing pre orders or something. The mechanics look really fun, and I like the overall design from what I have seen so far.

Oh and the game, well yeah, stellar job sirs. I will be hoping for some fancy limited edition to try and drop big money on.

I agree with this. While battle kid is good in its own way, the mad wizard is simply amazing. The stress and anger that can be induced is quickly subsided as you progress, as learning how to pass each section is rewarding. Roth did an excellent job with the mechanics, puzzle aspect, and adventure aspect.

Controls take a little getting used to, but it's such a small learning curve that it's not a big deal at all.

Based on the video, I can completely see how this could be "better than Battle Kid".

Battle Kid came out what, 5 years ago?  Battle Kid 2 started development over 3 years ago.

A lot has been learned by homebrewers in the meantime, and expectations have been raised all around.
(especially after the release of the Super Bat Puncher demo)

That said, this game is a different genre than Battle Kid, anyway.  Not really direct competition.

It looks awesome, and is on the short list of games I have any real anticipation for.

Very true. They are completely different genres and can't be compared directly. And you're right about the set standards set by the homebrewers and the knowledge these devs gain over the years - the games are just getting better and better

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but there is an early power up in the game that increases the speed of your movement during levitation.
