Wow, ridiculous. I wonder what prompts people to pay hundreds more than it's worth. I understand a bidding war where someone might go as much as $50 more than the value, but this is stupid.

I seriously think there's way too many bids for this to be serious lol. Will be incredibly surprised if this gets paid for. $1600 or so above the real value.

I bet it's legit. Buyers have been paying what I've been calling stupid prices all year long. As crazy as these prices may seem, we've got to face reality. But it remains to be seen if these guys have the bankroll to continue paying these prices. You have to wonder if it's impulse buying, or true money coming into the scene.

This is for sure the most retarded auction of the year. We should start a new thread for that.

That is nuts. I would sell mine for that. Props to the seller if they actually get paid. How many people on here owns this. I know of a handful, including myself. Too bad one of us weren't the ones to list ours. I actually had mine laying out the other day on my table figuring I might get it graded since it looks really nice. Well, I came in from work and my fiance was in my room and I noticed her keys laying right on top of it. Of course she thought I overreacted to the situation but I was in total shock when I saw that. I could not believe she put her keys on it. I just knew the plastic was torn but luckily there wasn't any damage. She said she was so excited to see me she wasn't paying attention. I felt good she wanted to see me so bad but I still told her to pay closer attention since I do have money in this stuff.

the guy with all of the sealed hudson games and "has never sold online", has sold 3 sealed copies, a CIB so far, and now he has a graded copy listed with one of his other accounts. (it's the same account he sold the for $99.99 and $199 sealed copies with)

I don't think it's the same guy although it seems like it. I've bought items from both of them and the money has gone to different paypal addresses associated with different names.

I think when Hudson went out of business this year they dumped their inventory locally in SF. Probably a shitton of these floating around now.

The copy I bought was shipped from California. It seems that is where most of these are coming from.

Ahhh...

Actually, it's just one of the few tricks I'm using to avoid being outrun on a Buy it Now, just in case I'm a few seconds late to the party.

If you place a bid then no one can hit the BIN. In the meantime you can ask the seller a few questions to make sure the item is on the up and up. Now IF the answers are what you were looking for you then retract the bid and hit the BIN. Of course if someone else bids after you then you won't be able to pull this off.
