Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week's game is going to be good old black box Soccer.  Here are the rules:

• Choose 1 Player game
• Choose whichever team you want
• Pick skill level 3
• Pick half time 15
• Take your picture when the game ends.  Be quick with your picture because you won't have a lot of time to take it before the game resets.
• Your score will be the differential between your score and the computer's score
• Ex: You 7 CPU 2 = score of 5
• Ex: You 2 CPU 7 = score of -5
• Greatest differential between your score and the computer wins.  A positive score takes preference over a negative score.
• Participation: -5 (Ex: You lose 0-5 to the CPU)
• GENRE: Sports

The contest ends Sunday, 9/2/18 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

Soccer is so fast paced, I can't believe I only scored three goals...  Baby finally came on Friday, almost two weeks late, so this will be my only attempt this week.  Good luck boys.

Is this game fun? I think I'll play it.

I hate sports games, but this one is extremely basic and fast paced, and it didn't take me too many tries to get my score. You should play it.

I prefer to think that soccer in video game form is similar to soccer in real life... very low scoring.


 

I picked difficulty 3 in the rules just to see some very elastic scores like 8-0, 9-0 or so!  

 

I admit I hate sports games and I put in near minimal effort to get my score. I don't expect to stay in first place.

 

It’s all here! Fast kicking, low scoring, and ties? You bet! 
 

Oh man, I have to get third place in Batman Returns next week to secure the beat em up championship and I've never played it. I expect arn to put up a fight this time.
